This is rediculous. you two make me GLAD I am not a glock person just so I am not affiliated with this sort of bashing on forums.
Call me crazy, but I think choosing (or not choosing) a specific self-defense handgun based upon forum bashing is just downright irrational.
Why do I like Glocks?
They are very reliable.
They are very easy to shoot accurately.
They are very easy to maintain and repair and tinker with.
Parts and accessories are abundant and rather affordable.
The pistols themselves are not too expensive.
They are offered in a wide variety of calibers and sizes.
And, unlike Boats, I don't find the grip to be a problem at all.
They are very comfortable in my hands (except the G21 which is too fat IMO).
The grip angle is not a problem for me at all....in fact, it points very naturally for me.
I've shot a lot of different handguns (Colt, S&W, Ruger, CZ, Beretta, Springfield, Kimber, Browning, FN, Sig, HK, Taurus, etc....) but I always find myself coming back to the Glock.
As for the Gen 4 Glocks....
I have learned the hard way to never buy the first of any new or re-designed product.
You have to give it a while for the bugs to be worked out.
I was in the Army when we switched to the Beretta, and yep, there were problems initially.
But those problems were eventually worked out.
And in time Glock will also work out the kinks, just as they always have.
