FEA. I could care less what they think or want. AC

No, they make no difference whatsoever in my gun purchases.

I had a nice wood stocked bolt action .30-06 in mind, and an AR15 in mind too.

I have the AR15 (actually 2 now). I'm still working on getting that bolt action. Paul Helmke really helped me make my decision. Thanks Paul!!

Idon't guess I've bought more, it just made me concentrate on FTF private sales. And large cap mags.

I buy firearms for a lot of reasons; the Brady folks and their ilk are not among them. Then again, the NRA folks don't enter into my thinking when I'm purchasing a new firearm, either. It's fair to say that political cover from either side is a non-factor when I sit down at the start of the year and determine which guns I'm interested in picking up during the next 12 months -- at least at present. That may change down the road, depending on politics and circumstances, but it's the case for now.

It just put me and the wife in high gear. We hatched a plan as to what we want and feel we need long ago, 'cept now we are pedal-to-the-metal, so I voted "motivated".

Not even the "Wow! We gotta have one of those!" guns get in the way. We just double down!

I don't remember who it was, but several years ago they were harping about the FN 57 pistol on the news. I hadn't yet heard of it and went and bought one asap. Yeah you could say they influenced me some. I would have bought the gun anyway they just made me hear about it sooner.

I would love to say that the Brady Group hasn't affected any firearms purchases on my part. I did however purchase a few ar magazines for my project gun ahead of schedule and I decided it was time to add a Glock with extra mags to my collection a little sooner than I would have were it not for the current political climate. All purchases I would have made anyway, just a little sooner than I anticipated.

Nugilum's post {#32 above} sums it up for me..

And I recently tuned up Sis-In-Law's Raven Arms .25, with some help from the Violence Policy Center...The VPC in their ahhhhh " expose " on the so-called Ring Of Fire gun makers had the schematic, expanded diagram, parts list etc of the Ravens. I don't think it is on their site anymore, but thanks for the help, VPC.

VPC, I laff at your faces....with contempt..HA!

Well, if they want a "One gun a month" law, I see no reason for that.

So far I've been compliant: Bought at least one gun a month for the last couple years.

I'm not particularly concerned about IANSA or the UN, but the general threat of bans on semi-automatics and high-capacity mags has affected my buying decisions.

Incidentally, I think it's telling that the home page of the IANSA website proudly illustrates the seizure of handguns by the Chinese commies:

That, I think fully illustrates the wisdom of the Second Amendment--the seizure of guns has historically been an important means by which repressive governments keep their subjects in check.

It hasn’t affected my buying but I know two persons who bought because of the current perceived situation of the country, and I feel certain Brady had a lot to do with that.

The gun manufacturers couldn’t have a better sales organization than the Brady Bunch.

Hmmm.... :uhoh:

China is still has the 3rd largest civilian gun ownership in total number of guns at about 40 million guns in the hands of civilians. I'm not saying they are legal guns. That's 3 guns per 100 people in china. I wonder why the chinese government can't find all the guns?

As long as the people who agree with the brady campaign who happen to not own guns select the third option rather than lie and select the first (I posted this poll on non gun forums also) then we'll see their true effect.

I hope you aren't saying that anyone that chose option #3, lied and secretly agrees with/supports those anti-gun nazis.......'cause that ain't true in my case.

None of these things has ever impacted any of my gun purchases........yet.

Maybe I'm just lucky as to where I live and what firearms I chose to own. Altho I did not agree with the temporary assault weapon ban, it didn't effect me, as I was not/am not into that type of firearm. That certainly doesn't mean I didn't support the right for others to own them. Same with the Korneyforney ban on high capacity mags. I definitely don't agree with it or support it, but it has no effect on my gun purchasers whatsoever. Here in Wisconsin you must wait 48 hours after a handgun purchase to take possession. Do I like having to wait 48 hours before taking a new handgun home? Nope, but it certainly hasn't influenced any of my handgun purchases........again, not yet.
