My problem with all the internet distributors is that they have a page up that takes 20 minutes to read about each "item" and then after going through the dance steps to order it tell you it's "not in stock" or "backordered".

If you don't have something, don't advertise it. The first rule of retail is that you haven't made any money until the customer pays for your inventory... just showing me pictures isn't the same thing as me shopping... and it's not just Midway... it's all the dealers.

Not midway, they show it in the summary listing of items.

They ship same day, every time. The customer service is awesome.

They are worth a few dollars more, in my opinion. The only time I buy from anyone else, believe it or not is Cabelas. The "Ship to Store" feature means no shipping, meaning they almost always beat everyone else s price.

I love Midway. If the items are instock, I have my order the next day; even if I order it in the afternoon. I'm amazed at how fast they ship.

There prices are a bit higher, but I usually keep on the lookout for sales. But, that's what I do with all the on-line retailers.

Repeatedly bagging on a store because of their prices is simply not constructive.

.....kinda like the never ending Wal-Mart threads?:banghead:

I buy from whichever internet seller is cheapest. Sometimes it's Graf's, sometimes it's Natchez, sometimes it's Powder Valley and sometimes it's Midway. Midway generally has the best prices on quality jacketed bullets....especially when they're on sale. When they're on sale I stock up, whether I need them or not. Altho their prices are cheaper on many things, their shipping charges are generally higher, and lately it seems they've jacked that up again. One needs to figure in that and also whether or not they charge sales tax.(of course I always report my out of state purchases, don't you?) Midway also seems to have what I want in stock. Are they perfect, naw, but their as good as anybody.

I'm a big Midway fan but lately I'm finding that they're no longer carrying the items I want and that I can go elsewhere and get things cheaper.

I recently noticed that they're no longer carrying Eezox. Luckily, I bought myself a whole quart just before they discontinued it.

I like Midway--for many years I have purchased 90% of my reloading supplies from them.
If they don't have what I want-- I just go somewhere else---why whine & cry.
If more gun owners don't support the NRA--the day may come where there
will be no Midway or no somewhere else...............:eek:

They also don't charge your CC until a BO'd item ships. Try Streichers and see what happens. CC charged immediately, order show up 3 months later.

Midway has an easy to use interface, very quick shipping and good CS. The price is what someone is willing to pay for it. Sometimes they are the best, sometimes not. In the long run it probably equals out. The other thing is the President, Larry Potterfield gives huge sums of money to the NRA and other 2A organizations.

I'll continue to buy things from them even if they aren't the cheapest. There is in my mind a difference between cost and VALUE.

Ever bought anything from BOTACH? Good prices. In every other way a nightmare

I find that Midway to be a reliable, and congenial supplier. A few months ago I had ordered 500 41 Cal lead bullets, as well as cleaning products, and on sale targets. THe package was detroyed in shipping, I received notice from both UPS & widway,> I called midway they would like to duplicate, the order and reship, but the .41cal bullets are out of stock, they did have hunters supply cast, but priced $30. higher than the original bulletts that I had ordered. They shipped the order that day including the Hunter Supply 215 gr .41 cal at no additional charge to me. I call that customer service!!

Always gotten excellent service from Midway. Over the past couple of years I have noticed multiple items priced over MSRP (on one occasion about 50 percent higher). I emailed and asked. Response was, "Thanks for your business." Shrug.

I like Midway for their support of 4-H shooting Sports and the NRA Roundup program.

BUT ... one of their recent e-mail specials featured $$ off if your order was over a certain amount. I put together an order that would have qualified, except that one item was put on back order, bringing the original total below the specified total. The back ordered item was on my step in two days, main order was over a week later. I called , and got a "Sorry." This might not be a legitimate complaint but it left a sour taste in my mouth anyway.

i've ordered from midway several times. on my last order i was able to snag some items on sale much cheaper than i could have bought them elsewhere. they shipped out within 2 hours of my order. how crazy is that?
i called CS (spoke with jennifer) with a question. the call lasted maybe 3 minutes even with me goofing around. jennifer should get a raise along with the warehouse crew IMO. all this over a holiday week. are you kidding me?

Midway is my favorite company in the industry, and the OP is indicative of one of the problems with the internet when it comes to our industry.

With electronics, who cares where you buy your tv or mp3 player. Nobody is going to issue a national or state decree banning what you sell, or lumping a new tax or hoop to jump through if you want to sell it. Same goes for shoes, clothes, pretty much everything..

EXCEPT GUNS and GUN STUFF

If we lose our power and momentum in washington and all of a sudden there are new regulations for shipping ammo, powder, primers, tools for making ammo, etc., it will be Midway and Larry Potterfield who will endure and who will be there to support our 2nd Amendment freedom. That won't necessarily be true for the johnny come latelys.

^^^ i agree Mr. Fan. i failed to mention that i was able to make an NRA contribution with my purchase. wasn't much but it helps.

Maybe you don't care where all this stuff comes from except for firearms, but those standing in the unemployment line wishing they had a job to go to Monday morning sure do.

Keep working hard, they all need your tax dollars!

Regarding Midway, they have always served me well with everything I've purchased from them. With all the support Larry gives to the firearms community I'll continue to support him in turn.

I just got the Black Dog Machine 50 rounder in the mail from Midway.

It was cheaper than any other website and the product arrived in the original manufacturers box without any kind of damage.

That said, it is the only product I've ordered from Midway so far.

You can always find a discoun coupon code for midway that will save you 5-10% or give you free shipping.

I like Midway alot and only have one complaint.
They charge you $3 if you don't order $25 worth of merchandise.
Of course that makes my go back and find things i marginally may need to add to my cart as i wont pay $3 for that stupid charge.

I use Brownells just as much while i find them a bit more expensive they don't charge the $3 for orders under $25.
But i like both and i buy from which ever has the better part i want as there are alot of options out there when buying a single 1911 part.

I've used Midway for decades, but lately their online wish list hasn't been half working, and that has really dented my business with them. I complained, but they haven't fixed it AFAIK. It's a shame, Larry's a good guy.

I don't mind Midway's services, we have the big sport goods stores, but "they" never have what I want so........ Larry gets the business. It takes a couple of days to get here, depending on when I order and weekend not involved, have always had what I've needed. I go to gun shows and see what's avail, but otherwise, I go Midway. Places like Dicks, I don't even bother!
