I made my first ever order with Midway USA earlier this week. I was happy with everything, placed the order, good to go.

First, it shipped and arrived much sooner than I expected. Awesome.

Next, I open the UPS box and take out all my goodies. Everything looks fine. Only problem is, the red case that should have my Lee Loader .38 special... is empty. The box is there, but there is nothing inside!

I called Midway, and they answered the phone right away. I told the very nice lady on the phone the issue, and she told me they would send another one ASAP.

I appreciated the willingness to correct the situation, and the fact that they did not try to hassle me about it. Good CS.

However, it is a very strange thing to have happen. And I am pretty bummed, because the GF is out of town this weekend and I planned with tinkering with the stuff all weekend.

Anyone had a similar experience? Did they resolve it easily like Midway or did they hassle you about it?

My dealings with Midway have always been solid. I've sent more money their way then I would like to admit and even returned some things. I'm certain it was an honest mistake and they will make it right as they said they will.

Never had that specific thing happen to me however.

Too bad about the mistake. Stuff happens. Bummer though.

Midway has great customer service. That is the good news. :)

I use Midway for about 90% of my supplies ive never had an issue that was not resolved to MY satisfaction and very promptly. That is the reason I use them even when their prices are a tad higher than some. I will pay the price for good service!

Midway from my experience is one of the best out there. Like others have said, service has been 100%. I also like their "roundup" program; wish more others would do the same.

Midway is the best. I am slightly embarrassed to admit that I order from them about 1.5 times per week.

About the worst experience I have had with them was with an order of bullets.

THey had a pretty decent sale a couple of years back on the Oregon Trial Laser Cast, so I stocked up, buying around 5-6 boxes of 500 in a couple of weights for a couple of calibers. Well I hear the UPS truck pull up and I head out knowing it is probably pretty heavy. As he is coming up the drive, he said, hey not sure if something in here is broken but stuff is falling out.

Well my stomach hit the floor and I headed in for a flashlight. There on the ground all the way back out to his truck and inside on the floor were bullets laying everywhere.

Well we picked up what we saw and off the drive, and I headed in to see how bad it was. Every box was busted open and the only packing was some of the large bubble wrap. So I sat down and sorted them out counting them all per caliber per weight. IT was a mess to say the least. I did have enough snap to take pictures of it all and I fired it off to Midway with a blistering letter.

I figured I would have to pay return shipping and all sorts of stuff, but to my total shock, about an hour after I sent the email I got a call form them asking about the order. Took less than 5 minutes to explaing the issue along with the pictures they already had. Next thing, about floored me, when the lady said she had checked their inventory, and my replacement bullets would be in route first thing the next morning, and to simply keep what I had on hand no other charges would be assessed. I got home that evening and they arrived not long after. This time packaged the proper way and nothing spilled out.

So I had plenty of cast bullets to shoot up that fall for practice. They might not always have the best prices, or especially shipping charge, but when you have an issue they generally sort it out right quick.

Midway has been nothing but fantastic for me. No problems whatsoever. Don't let this one incident turn you away from the company.

They sent me the wrong model magazine once (a $15 item). They offered a return of course but I didn't have the time to be bothered to pack it up and send it back. It will end up in my big list of stuff to sell one of these days...

When I ordered my .25wssm AR15 upper the Olympic box was labeled correctly but it had a .223 varmint upper in it. Midway paid to ship the wrong one back and had the right one here in a couple days.

Another +1 for Midway USA.

I had issue with my order, but they tool take care of me!! A+

Love the folks at Midway, best CS I've ever dealt with. They respond to my emails usually within 2 hrs. I had some questions about a Daniel Defense barrel last week, and the rep didn't know the answer, but apologized and gave me the number for DD. Good customer service is a lost art these days, so they will continue to get my business.

I have had very good, in fact, Excellent dealings with Midway!

The first thing that came to mind was someone along the route between Midway and your house ended up opening the box and helping themselves to your reloading kit. If the box should have been heavy and it was just an empty box, it doesn't make sense that Midway would have shipped something like that, unless someone in their shipping department is "light-fingered."

Only problem is, the red case that should have my Lee Loader .38 special... is empty. The box is there, but there is nothing inside!

I work in loss prevention for a large retail chain. Sometimes we have to work cases out of DC's. With the human element, sometimes it just happens.

I have nothing but good things to say about Midway, though.

I buy tons of stuff there. If you have a C&R you can get a dealer discount. The only time they will not take something back is if it is used/installed. Which IMHO makes sense because if it a part been installed or modified they cannot resell it.

They answer their phones ship quickly. Give them a call they will make it right fast. IMHO

Midway is awesome. I ordered some Lee 38 special dies late last year from midway. I didn't get around to opening them until late January. One of the dies was wrong in the box. It was a 45LC die instead of the 38 die. Midway took care of me quickly and to my complete satisfaction. I think Lee might have some packaging issues.

Trust me, that's the exception, not the rule. I love Midway. I've gotten to the point where I rarely shop around. If I need something, I just go to Midway and order it. The shipping is usually very fast. About the only people I've ever seen ship stuff faster is Missouri Bullets.
