I recently decided to build my first AR-15 and placed an order at Brownells, mostly for tools. That was on Monday, 10/3. When it hadn't shipped by Friday, I inquired via email and was told that they were having computer problems and couldn't access customer information or order history - strange since I've been able to look up my order on their website throughout this episode. When my order still hadn't shipped by yesterday morning, I asked again and got a similar vague answer.
I can understand that computers sometimes fail. What annoys me is that they've taken no initiative to contact me or tell me when they expect my order to ship. Their website doesn't mention the problem. As far as I know, they're still accepting orders, although I'm not going to place one just to see whether I'm right.
I'm surprised that no one else has mentioned this problem on THR, TFL or Arfcom. Anyone else have an order stuck at Brownells or am I the only lucky one?
