Anyone order from Brownells recently?

Hey guys/gals I'm new here and mostly just kinda cruise through the post but I figured it was time to join. Anyways I placed an order with Brownells exactly a week ago and after 3 phone calls I was told my order is being reprinted and shipping status has been upgraded. They saying I should see my items shipped today or tomorrow. Has anyone else been having these problems with Brownells? All my items are in stock so I'm not understanding what the hold up could be. I ordered my stuff a week ago just so I can have everything in for when I get home this weekend. Seems like a slim chance of that happening now.
 
Well, there was Thanksgiving last Thursday, and a Black Friday ordering frenzy, and a weekend thrown in there.

So, 3-4 of your 7 days they weren't there.
And no doubt backed up now.

I have done business with them for near 50 years, and they normally ship same day.

I think you just had bad timing with Thanksgiving holidays being thrown in there.

Brownells is great folk. You can count on that.
I'm not understanding what the hold up could be.
Don't worry. Every year... right about this time on the calendar in particular... some people tend to go through what you've experienced. Fret not.
 
really? wow. I imagine you are on a long list where people are waiting on there stuff
also. patience can have a calming effect. just saying.
I have never had a problem with them.
 
I was just curious being that my Midwayusa order got to my house Monday. And its Tuesday and my Brownells order still hasn't shipped. I placed the MidwayUsa order and Brownells order on the same day. Just wondering if this is usual for Brownells or if they usually slow this time of the year.
 
A lot of companies do in fact get it done quicker than that. but I wouldn't be surprised when it takes a little bit of time giving the holiday(s)
 
Brownell's is usually very quick to ship. However, they are currently relocating their entire facility, which is severely impacting ship times. Bad time of year to do it, but it is what it is.
 
Unfortunately I haven't personally had a good experience with Brownells yet, I don't think.

I was one of the unintelligent individuals who backordered PMAGs from them just about two years ago. Many months later I cancelled as I was able to buy them freely and immediately from other vendors for the same or lower price. I also signed up to be notified of ammo and near as I can tell they went about a year without putting any 5.56 or .223 or 9mm out.

So I haven't really felt a desire to look at them when shopping around
 
Brownells is great to deal with. My guess is the holiday got them. I wouldn't worry about it.
 
I really like Brownells. Over the last few weeks I've ordered new recoil spring assemblies and locking blocks for a Beretta 8040 and Beretta 92FS, and a pair of magazines. Both arrived promptly.
 
Order from Brownells occasionally, always good service.
A few weeks ago I found they had a great deal on a rifle stock I needed. It made it to Anchorage right on time, already have it bedded and ready to start testing loads!
 
Just ordered from them last week. Never had a problem or issue when ordering from Brownells.
 
Well I got the email saying it shipped. When I talked to them again earlier this evening the supervisor told me something happened with being the first time I used my credit card they were suppose to call me and make sure it was a legit purchase. So just a heads up to first time buyers or if you using a different payment method than usual. I would say after placing your order maybe give the billing department a call to make sure everything cleared correctly.
 
so some of the delay was them trying to protect you. I would say that is pretty good customer service. don't give up on em.
 
There's a post on another forum saying that Brownell's is moving its warehouse. I can't confirm that, but the poster said he'd talked to a manager who confirmed shipping problems because of the move. I've always had good luck with Brownell's but haven't ordered anything lately.

I had an issue recently with a back ordered item not shipping for well over a week after it showed on the website as back in stock. An email inquiry was not returned. I'm chalking this up to being an anomaly as previous orders over the years have been trouble free.
 
I order from them almost every week. Normally if I order on monday, I have it on Thursday. I placed an order this monday and it still has not shipped. I tried to call them to confirm they have my current FFL on file with my new address since we moved back in April and I was number 88 in line on the phone!

Im guessing there a little busy this time of year. If it hasnt shipped by the weekend, then there might be something going on but this is the first time I have ever had any delay in shipping from them.
 
Placed an order awhile back from Brownells.Item was backordered,after a couple of months received an email that the order had been cancelled.About a week later item shows up in the mail,but I had already found the item somewhere else.Brownells not only refunded my purchase plus shipping,they covered the return shipping also.What a class act! It doesn't get any better than that! FWIW.
 
It happened to me, kinda sucked but the upgraded shipping was nice. Oh, they credited me $20 plus my shipping
