Anyone order from Brownells recently?

Yep, I had that happen to me.

Waited 3 weeks and no product. I actually forgot about the order until they sent a note telling me my credit card was rejected. Between placing the order and them actually charging the card my card was cancelled and reissued due to a breach.

I told them to just cancel the order since the card was rejected. Three days later I received a $25 gift certificate from them for the screwed up order much to my surprise.

Certainly unexpected compensation. But confirmation they make good on their mistakes.

I have been ordering from Brownells for nearly 40 years and have never had a problem. I average three orders a month, sometimes more. Back in the pre internet and pre credit card days, you would send a signed blank check with your order and they would fill in the correct amount after the order was totaled and shipping costs were added. How many companies would you trust to do that these days?

Have used Brownells for a while. Only once was there a problem due to some inaccurate descriptive text on their website. They apologised and gave a small refund to cover the extra costs I incurred. Mistakes happen and it was handled well. No problems recommending them.

I have purchased things now and again from them with no problems. I would expect a bit of delay with the holidays if I ordered within the last week IMHO. As far as Midway being on time that is great but what items I order from Brownells are usually not available from any others as a one stop shopping purchase. YMMV

I currently have five active orders with Brownells, they are overwhelmed with the sale items from Black Friday (which lasted a week). One of my orders got really screwed up and because of it, and no complaints issued by me, I was given an apology and $25 gift card. These guys are ok in my book. PSA was mentioned and has a reputation for being slow, that has changed dramatically with the new warehouse and my last five orders were shipped within three days, both parts and firearms.
My gripe with all of them is when they use UPS/surepost.....when a package finally arrives here in the Great Northwest it is transfered to the PO which adds at least three days to delivery..(one package arrived in Spokane Wa yesterday will go to the PO and delivery on Wednesday next week ! and I live eight miles from the PO Dist Ctr ......so another five + days after arrival here). The PO also " mis sends " many of my packages to other small cities in the area...even had to go on the Air Base to pick up one! Never had a problem with Fed Ex.
"I feel much better now"

I have been ordering from them since back when you had to actually engage in the barbaric practice of adding up shipping weights from a paper catalog so you could know how much postage to add when you filled out your check. Never a problem.

Brownell's is one of those companies that has actually gotten better IMO because their prices have gotten more competitive in response to competition but their level of service has remained consistently good.

If I can save a few bucks ordering elsewhere, I usually order it from Brownells anyway.

Based on the few times I have had to call or email customer service, I was left with the impression that they care more about the customer than they do the sale.

.
Must be the warehouse move. Why else would it take them four business days (no holidays or weekend days in there...) to get a very small item shipped? to me from the day it was ordered. They usually get the stuff out their door same day or next day.
