“CTD Blogger” posted a BVAC notice that “Due to numerous customer requests for the BVAC 10MM to reach maximum velocity, BVAC had changed the load to 1250 fps January 1st 2012 to March 1st 2012.”

However, BVAC noted that “In doing so, we have seen signs of case failures in unsupported chambered weapons. One example is the Colt Delta Elite. We recommend that if you purchased the BVAC 10mm ammunition during this time period that you only shoot the ammo in fully supported weapons such as the Smith and Wesson, Beretta, or Sig Sauer.

The CTD item also noted that shooters can also contact BVAC directly to exchange the ammo for the standard 10mm round. BVAC has reduced the load back to the standard velocity of 1125 fps.”

I've loaded my own 10mm since 1991 so what the commercial companies has no effect on me. I can make mine puffballs or right up there with the hottest Buffalo Bore stuff. I can't even imagine relying on the commercial suppliers for anywhere.

Its old news and very much BS! Smith doesn't make a 10 now and the others listed there don't. The so called Max ammo was going 1100fps. Weak! They had problems with their crap phillipine armscor brass and wont own up to it. The should have kept starline and learn how to load 10mm.

^ That's what I was thinking. They make ammo for a gun that's been out of production for over 20 years, and the Beretta and SIG. What Beretta and SIG???

If you make 10mm ammo that can't be shot out of a Glock20, you might as well admit your ammo is crap.

Seems like a poorly worded and executed ass-covering but I'm glad to be able to read between the lines as the only 10mm I currently have is a Delta Gold Cup and don't fancy controlling any explosions with my palms.

There's another ammo maker, Underwood, that specifically warns against using some of their loads in Colt Delta Elites but then makes a load or two specifically for use in the DE.

Yea Kevin does. Some of the 10's just aren't up to snuff as they come to shoot the far end ammo. BVAC never suggested a barrel swap or alternative either. In this case though it was their brass. Yes they got away from Starline and it looks like it bit them!
