I have the new S&W shield pistol I now need a holster and mags.

There's a PDF on Smith's website that has all the accessories, plus the website's of the manufacturers that have them.

It's so new that I don't think anyone else besides S&W, or whoever makes their holster is going to have one for a while.

Bought one a few days ago and going through the same thing as yourself.
I doubt you're going to find magazines for a while, and 'specially not at a decent price - I'm resigned to waiting for the magazines to get into the marketplace before expecting to find below MSRP prices?

AFA holsters, might be the same thing? I downloaded the M&P accessories flyer at S&W's site, but pickings are slim.
Best stuff I've come across so far are DeSantis, but they're also not yet available.

I ordered a kydex OWB for my Shield from GunNut here on the forum. Will be able to give you a review after the 2 to 4 week turnaround time, which is pretty dang fast for a small holster maker.

You do have to email to order a Shield holster, it's not in his drop-down menus yet.

Try the High Noon Bare Asset, at least until you can find a holster specifically molded to the gun. It is made of soft leather, so quick reholstering isn't possible, but it carries and holds the gun very well. If HN doesn't show it yet for the Shield, try one for a gun of similar size. I would think something on the order of the Kahr K9 would be about right. I am not thrilled, however, with HN's mag carrier design.

Theis holsters has it listed as available on his site. Basically the same thing as a CBST.

If you need something in a hurry (heck, you might like it?), I have a number of Bagmaster holsters. Since they're universal fit, you'd probably want/neet a retention strap? I've used this model with a number of my guns and have loaned them to friends until they could find something they like.
The CNG size fits, but the holster could stand to be an inch? shorter. I tried the next size smaller (OM) but it's too tight.

If you're looking for something more concealable, you might try some of their IWB models etc?

Yeah, they're not purty leather, but I've never had a problem with mine.
If you have to have something to hold you over 'til the makers catch up, you could do worse?

Shield holster

Have an M&P9c with a DeSantis holster with the S&W logo available from S&W store. When I got my Shield home yesterday, the Shield works perfectly in the M&P9c holster, ande only had to tighten the tension screw to make it a secure fit. Had to laugh because I still had a Galco holster for a Glock 36 that I traded that fit the M&P9c perfectly too!

The relatively widespread availability of the Shield means that a lot of smaller holster makers actually are making holsters for the gun already.

Was just on Desantis web site and they list the Shield and show a few models of holster as being in stock.

As a stopgap I bought.the cheapest Uncle Mikes IWB in a size 36 (yes, that is supposed to be for a LCR). It fits well and gets me carrying it, but I am waiting for a comp tac infidel to come out.

I'm waiting for a Crossbreed or a Comp-tac Minotaur MTAC to come out. I want a two-clip IWB with a sweat shield.

The Comp Tac is now out. I ordered an Infidel and mag pouch earlier today.

My OWB and Mag holder from RKBA arrived today - I am super pleased with the workmanship and fit, this is a very nice holster.

You can call S&W for the magazines, but expect them to tell you that it might be a 2 week wait and will only charge your credit card when they ship.

My IWB from white hat should be here either Saturday or Monday. I write up a little review when it comes in. I ordered it on 19APR12 and it shipped yesterday FWIW...

Billy McCabe had a bunch of basic tuckable IWB holsters in stock for the Shield not too long ago. They may all be gone now, I know when I got mine, they only had black ones left.

I've carried the Shield for about 2 weeks now and really like this pistol.

I've posted a poor quality cell phone pic of my shield holster and a better pic of an HK USP holster that I made that looks a whole lot better... the picture that is.

The Shield holsters are really solid. I've sold 5 or 6 and have gotten great reviews.
