One thing I've always wondered is why hasn't anyone ever made a 9mm lever action rifle? I think it would be a great HD carbine with a excellent capacity and power. The question is why not?
Also, the 9 is too pointy for a tube magazine.Because other handgun cartridges do everything the 9mm does in size but they offer loads with much larger bullets and higher velocity. Lever action carbines are meant for hunting or self defense in the woods. Would you count on a 9mm to stop any animal besides a snake that is a threat to you? Many people use lever action carbines for hunting. Many states have laws limiting the capacity of a rifle. So 25 9mm rounds just would get you a big fat ticket.
Was also chambered in the .256 Win. Mag., which is a .357 Mag. necked down to a .257..............it could be done like the marlin 62,it was built in 30 carbine with a detachable magazine allowing pointed bullet to be used.eastbank.
