That is incorrect and the data you linked to is incomplete.

Here is a more comprehensive list of serial number data for Ruger from 61-93
https://www.silverkennel.com/rugerrifles.htm

That shows them being produced for more than a decade longer but my memory was still off a year. FWIW they tried a 44 mag carbine again with a Ranch based rifle called the 99/44 Deerfield around 2000-2006 and it didn’t do well either.

I tend go by what the mfgr, Ruger, claims rather than a 3rd party says. You could be right, I just know what ruger says they made.

Either way, the market is very different now than 18 yrs ago even if the 3rd party dates are correct.

I armed you with all the information you needed to verify the facts.

Go to the link I posted, obtain a serial number for the year you would be interested in, then go to Rugers website and look up the serial number.

Of course they incorrectly place the instruction manual for the 77/44 in the link.

Even though they don’t show that they started production of that model until 1997.

So no matter what you choose to believe, their website is wrong. :)

Local gunsmith converted a marlin 1894 in 45lc to 45 acp. He had to modify the carrier I know. I wish I had paid more attention to it at the time when he was showing me.

He recently died. Just fell over stone dead in the middle of a stage of cowboy action shooting. What a way to go.
