Midway Powder Shipping

I'm not sure whether you're asking about ordering from Powder Valley or Midway, but I went with the former to eliminate the middleman :)

I ordered 2 8lb jugs of WST and 1lb of Ramshot Zip on February 10th and received an invoice on March 5th. Both were listed as In Stock. Looking at their website, it appears as though they're currently shipping orders invoiced on March 2nd . . . so I'm expecting to get a shipment notification within the next 2-3 days and have the powder by early next week. That works out to 6 - 6 1/2 weeks from order to delivery at the current rate. I'd guesstimate you're looking at the 2nd week of April at least.

I've never bought powder or primers from MidwayUSA because I don't like the "drop ship" thing.

I also am careful never to buy in-stock and backordered items on the same ticket because of the way they calculate shipping charges.

But I have never had a problem with anything I've bought there -- that's not quite true, I've had problems with a couple of items and they handled the returns just fine and were easy to work with. And the shipping times have been reasonable.

Yea I was talking about Powder Valley. I thought you ordered later. I ordered on Feb 21 so probably April
 
Keep an eye on Cabela's page. If a component isn't in stock, it doesn't appear on their page and you cannot order it. While this means you have to check back often, it also means there is no backorder to satisfy.

I checked in at random on 3/6 and saw they had Tite Group in stock, as well as quite a few other Hodgdon powders. I ordered two 4lb cans, and they arrived on 3/12. I really can't complain about that. The powder was even on sale! Now I'm watching the site for primers...

FYI, I got my shipment confirmation Tuesday this week with an estimated arrival date of Monday the 25th. Pretty much as I expected :)
 
I checked PV right before this craziness and they had most everything in stock. I thought to myself that I don't need to spend any more money this month, and that I would make a purchase next month. Hah! Boy was I wrong, about next month anyway. Nothing but empty shelves. The powder guy at the gun shows here has next to nothing as well.

Just an update re: MidwayUSA powder. Big Brown just rolled-in with my 8 Lbs of H4831. I placed the order on 2013JAN11. Today being 2013APR03, I guess it was about 11 weeks order to arrival. I'll post another update with my Accurate 2700 arrives.

Thanks for the update. I have yet to hear about mine. Waiting patiently at this point. I sort of got over the bill me now, ship me later routine. At least I will get powder at a normal price.
 
That's odd, they normally wait til shipping date to charge. But i have yet to receive one backordered item from them. I cancelled all of them when I found what I was looking for. In all the hundreds of dollars of orders I place, I received exactly one item - a tumbler kit.
