cpls are shall issue, no firearms at outdoor music festivals. The mayors of seattle of the last few years have been pretty antigun, but kept from really accomplishing anything because we had a better than average attorney general. He ran for gov last term and lost, and the new AG dosent seem quite as concerned about citizen rights. Most of washington is gun friendly, and even king county (most populous, most liberal) Is fairly pro gun, but extremely pro Democrat, and all washington Democrats follow the party line. There has been a proposed assault weapon ban, it failed misserably, however, mandatory background checks are going to be put on a ballot soon. That could go either way. Its worth noting, there may never be a republican governer in washington state again, even though the majority of the state by area is republican. Washington is also one of the new "lets try moving here because we ruined california, and try to rebuild california" states, along with Colorodo, Oregon and montana. Overall it appears colorado and Oregon are about lost. Im really hoping washington does not, but with most of our big buisnesses looking to leave, noone will want to move here soon. One oddity of washington, In the King-peirce-snohomish county areas, the most populated countys, there are very few gun ranges, Almost no indoor gun ranges (i know of 2 between the three countys) And the Hiker/bicycle crowd has pretty mush gotten rid of national forrest shooting pits, so you have to drive a rediculously long way to shoot outdoors legally. In the winter most Ranger approved outdoor shooting pits on the west side of the mountains require snowmobiles, or very long hikes in multifeet deep snow. If you move to the east side of the mountains, youll be alright, from what ive experienced. BTW washington has the higherst gas tax in the nation too. Hope that helps a little.
