Hello everyone,

Here is the one thousandth slip joint knife I've made. The knife goes to a very close friend of my dads.
Jim enjoy the new knife.
Jim also has all the 100's. up to 1000 now.
(#1000) was ordered at his request on the specs.)

It's kind of fun to make these knives now, at first not so fun. They are some of the hardest knives I've ever made. It took me since the end of 2005 until now to do this.
Man what a ride....
But now I can say I have made a thousand...... and two:)

Thank you all for the support - you are the best!

Those are gorgeous. Two of the best I've seen from you (imho, obviously). What's the finish on the steel? Having a hard time telling, not sure if it's the lighting

Beautiful work. That's an interesting blade to handle angle.

The blades are hand finished.
My grinds are pretty good (done by hand) so when I go to hand sand the ever so slight ripples out, so it's completely true when you hold it in the light. It's dead perfect.

Thanks everyone, I do appreciate it.

Todd, both of these are beautiful, and #1000 is absolutely gorgeous. Are you keeping that one for yourself, or did it go to a lucky buyer?

p.s. I'm proud to be the lucky owner of the last 3 digit T. A. Davison knife ever made, and it is also an awesome knife.

No I didn't get to keep it - A very close friend of my dads has all the 100's.
That means he has slip joint #100 - #200 - #300 - #400 - #500 - #600 - #700 - #800 - #900 and now #1000.
That is collection that is quite rare from any maker right there.....
Some of them were in KNIFE WORLD pub. a while back.

Thanks again guys - have a great evening.

Beautiful knife! If it looks that good in a photo it must be amazing to hold.
