Anyone know where I might get a muzzle brake/flash suppressor for the above mentioned rifle. Just a simple clamp on type? I just got the rifle Wednesday, and as the price was right it followed me home, kind of a neat little AR-15 in the .22LR version, but it has a plain type barrel, and that just won't do.;)

Mine has no flash hider, either. I didn't feel like paying to get the barrel threaded. I ordered a cool barrel shroud, though.

More info on the 15-22 than you can imagine on the Smith & Wesson forum website . LOVE MINE :D

A few companies manufacture the shrouds. This one is from MP-1522.com

threaded mine on the neighbors lathe. I cant imagine it would cost more the 50 bucks to have a gunsmith do it as it took all of about a 1/2 an hour.

I was thinking about threading mine on as I've got the 1/2X28" die, and then just get a threaded flash suppressor/muzzle brake, but I really don't know for sure if that's the way I want to go. Once it's threaded it is pretty much final. Ah decisions, decisions.

Shipwreck, Where did you get your barrel shroud from?

One companies's shroud required you to buy a separate piece to attach to the barrel - and then ya thread the shroud onto it. So, I went with Tacticool's Shroud.

There is one that covers the entire barrel outside of the quadrail. I got the shorter one to make it look more like a suppressor. I wanted that part of the barrel showing. I thought it looked better than the longer shroud.
