Anyone have any feedback on integral 10/22's? Any first hand experience from owners or tester?

I see a few from Thompson Machine, TBA, and SRT. I'd prefer to stay away from Aluminum and it has to be user serviceable, especially since it's .22. I'd like to add an integral to the collection for giggles.

Thanks!

I have owned a Gemtech 10/22. The barrel rifling extended to perhaps 14" or less. The receiver was of the cheapest variety, with black paint over aluminum, peeling entirely on its own. The trigger was bad, I replaced it. Cleaning the barrel was a little chore. Gemtech warned against putting anything through the integral suppressor for cleaning. The barrel/suppressor junction was not marked, so I had to clean the rifling using my tactile senses and a bore light. The Hogue molded stock was a major nuisance with the rotary mags. It retained the mag after it was "officially" released, so the mag had to be pried out (I had mastered that move with a Swiss Army knife) When it came to shooting, the rifle was reliable and it shot to the point of aim. It was exceptionally lightweight. For discreet pest control, I can't think of a better tool. Detachable, cleanable integral suppressors are available now.

Was this the old Oasis-R? Did you buy a complete 10/22 or just the barrel?

John Norrell does an excellent integral 10/22 can that can be cleaned and is full auto rated.

I have had one made by the Mid States Armory in Missouri and I have a Thompson machine Operative S on its way in. The operative S is for a charger or 10/22 SBR.

Thompson Machine is making one now that is stainless and user serviceable I have one on its way in right now.

There are several factors to consider when you start looking at integral barrels, is it user serviceable? what is the actual barrel length? Will my ammo stay supersonic(if you want the energy)? What is my price point?

Hi am new here. I have had a Gemtech integral 10/22 operator for about 20 years and love it. Was the barrel and suppressor tube only. Be sure and ask size of tube, Mine is 1 in. some are .920 so a stock bull barrel stock will work with modifying the stock.

Wait....what. I'm going to have to jump on that bandwagon. Wasn't the Operative aluminum? So the tube will be stainless as well as the monocore?

Wasn't the Operative aluminum?

Yes the core was 6061 T6 aluminum

So the tube will be stainless as well as the monocore?

From what Brooks told me about a month ago yes core and tube will be stainless. I did not ask what grade stainless though.

I can't say for sure but I am guessing its because people like the "dip" and that is hard on aluminum, so hard it will eat it actually.

What kind of max effective ranges are you getting with the ports bleeding off some velocity?
Anyone have any feedback on the "B" model?
