After several years of drawing and shooting from concealment I was told by the RO I can't do that anymore. I go off the shooting line to have a talk and he explains it encourages others to do the same and pretty soon people are shooting each other. He says I wasn't doing anything wrong but when others see me do it they get scared (as he motions his eyes to a woman a few feet away who was a few stalls down from me). I tell him I had permission from other range staff but ok I'll stop. The range has been really good to me and I appreciate the awesome leo discount but with all the new shooters coming on I understand their position for safety.
So now I need a range that lets you do that in the north Atlanta area. I'm looking for a yearly membership with unlimited time at around $300. The only other option I know of is the Chatt. national forest.
On a happier note, the Colt 1903 works well in a holster for a Glock 17/22. I found three 8 round after market mags from Numrich that function like originals. They ain't cheap at $42 but I was throwing them down on concrete during reloads and they hold up fine. I had to work the slide a few times over an empty mag so they would seat but they function great.
