I have wanted one of these bright stainless 4" Colt King Cobra's for quite awhile now and I recently got my wish. Following are some photos of this gem!:

Pretty! I like the look of the grips, as well as the finish. Let us know how well she shoots!

That's beautiful stainless! Looks as bright as nickel.

What wood are the grips? Really nice!

The grips were made out of a light Rosewood. Yes, the BSS King Cobras were highly polished to a mirror finish-via using special leather polishing wheels that only colt had that were made especially for Colt to their own specifications.

Looks great! I have 3 pythons in the bright stainless finish and really like the mirror look.

I like the mirror look also. I currently have only two Pythons with the BSS finish to go with this BSS King Cobra(4" and 6").

Very nice indeed! That mirror polish finish looks great, as do the rosewood grips.

Handsome. I don't recall seeing a 4" before... mostly 6"ers. That's a very balanced look. Nice grips, too!
I don't know how many brights they made in comparison to mattes, but bright finish in any barrel length is harder to find than matte. When the guns were new, bright only cost about $35 bucks more than matte. Today they bring nearly $300 more.

I kept an open eye for years for a 4". I found one about 3 years ago priced at $900. I thought I overpaid by at good bit, but wanted it. I am glad I picked it up, now.

Those prices were more than they actually sold for, too. I bought a new bright stainless that year for $335 with no dickering.

ColtPythonElite:

1)Both of your KC's look great(Mint)!

2)You did real good by picking up your 4" KC when you did for just $900! Was it a NIB gun or a slightly used KC when you bought it?

That 4" was used. Like I said, I thought I paid more than I should, especially considering I bought a alleged unfired 4" matte sometime afterwards for $700.
