Thought I'd share a picture of my Ruger 77/357 wearing a new wood stock. Also added a Weigand scope rail and a small Redfield 3-9x40 I had in the back of the safe.
I feel it's an improvement over the black synthetic stock, kinda lends a bit of class to an otherwise plain-looking bolt rifle. If anything I think it's even a tad lighter.
So far I've run a couple hundred rounds of 38 spc and 50 or so 357 magnum though it. It feeds the 38 spc just fine even though Ruger warns to watch out for jamming with 38. So far it's been more accurate with 357 mag but the 38s I had were the lowest of the low gunshow reloads, I'll see how it does with some good stuff. Recoil, what recoil?
Well, time to go sight 'er in and get to shootin'
