I struggled with myself on this rifle more than any other; I really wanted to customize it more to my liking while not irreversibly changing anything. That's so easy to do with an AR15 platform, but not the Linda.

The top rail is the same width and profile as a Picattiny or Weaver but it has no slots machined into it. It's possible to use just about any flat top accessory as long as it has at least two cross bolts; the bolts will simply rest flat on the rail.

Well, I really wanted an Aimpoint H1 on this girl and it has only one cross bolt, mounting it like that meant it would rock front to back even if tightened down, just wasn't stable. I didn't want to add a riser since the optic's height is just perfect for a cheek weld right on the rail.

So, I removed the iron sights as they were destined to come off anyway and, to my pleasant surprise, there was an extra tap hole underneath the rear sight. And the distance between them was about 1/2" shorter than the base of the Aimpoint. I placed a couple of 6-32 flat head screws in these two holes and snugged them down; they sit ever so slightly taller off the base than the cross bolt's exposed height, they provide a nice two-point, flat base for the front and back of the optic. There's a picture at the end showing the detail.

A few more black 6-32 plugs screws to cover the remaining taps and it was done. All that hand wringing for nothing

Also added a vertical foregrip/bipod and a CTR buttstock. This one is ready for the range :)

Irons are an attempt at a ghost ring rear with a fixed front post. Almost impossible to get a bead on a target. And it was off with no way to adjust easily.

If it works for you, more power to you. Enjoy.
When some of us reside in places where we can't have one of those unless we owned one from many years prior, we shouldn't belittle the choice of another.
