SR 45 Jamming

My son bought one, his first handgun. Easy to shoot. Priced well. However.......he had problems with jamming. Like every 4th shot. Took it back to the LCS and they shipped it back to Ruger. It came back a few weeks later, no charge, and the Ruger techs said they mad repaired it, and fired 20 rounds through it without any jam ups. They did specify what ammo they used (I forget what it was). But my son has been shooting "Lawman" through it. I was at the range with him last weekend, and he blasted through a full box. He did have one jam in the box of 50. Meantime, my HK was handling EVERYTHING I put through it, no problems. The word on the street is that the SR must have a few hundred rounds through it before it behaves.

i held one before it is comfortable on the hands you can tell the difference between the sr9/40 and sr45 just in the grip the trigger is ok its not bad but its definitely not on par with walther but all in all it serves its purpose quite well without breaking the bank

hotajax-
I had a problem with 185gr in my P345 when it was new. Never a problem with 230gr. After a few hundred rounds I tried 185gr again. No problems at all and never any since. Love mine and how it loves 230gr ammo.
