I just posted a similar thread in the auto loader section.

I am looking to add a high end revolver to my collection. I have many revolvers from Colt, S&W, Taurus, etc in calibers from .22 LR, .32long up to .357 magnum but am looking to spend around $2500 on a new gun.
It will probably need to be a magnum and I THINK I want it to be new manufacture but I imagine there are some older revolvers that would do nicely. I am not really looking to pay for history with an Anaconda or Python as I already have a Python.

Korth would also be my suggestion.

If you want something unique, save up some more and get a Mateba. It's the Chiappa Rhino's better-looking older brother.

I doubt you'd find a Korth for $2500. Next down would be a Manurhin MR-73 (or MR-93 if you like a more modern look).

A S&W Registered Magnum would be a good choice, too.

Freedom Arms would be hands-down recommendation for a new revolver.

Know a guy who has a Freedom Arms, several custom options on a 357. Have not shot it, all I can say is wow the fit and finish is tremendous.

I second the Manurhin. It is a beautiful revolver, with internal workings that are carried on roller bearings to give the smoothest possible single- and double action trigger pull. The only drawback (other than the price) is that it is French. So, it likely will jump from your hand directly to the ground should it ever be shown in anger.

I know you said you prefer new, but for my money its hard to beat a S&W 27 or pre-27 with a 5" barrel....except for maybe the rare 26-1 5" in .45 Colt.

S&W 929

Just fire +P+ out of it for that magnum feel.

Korth and the like are the most expensive revolvers but most accurate as a group, that would be Freedom Arms.

S&W25 or 625 or new eight shot N frames

Yes Korth is better at three times the price
But load up some moon clips, get a good double action trigger job and you can have world of fun with a S&W N frame
