I carry a Kahr CM9 and a Glock 26.

Both are great. The CM most in the summer and the 26 in the cooler months.

i have the g27 (same dimension as g26) and it can be hard to conceal at times. also heavy for a small gun. i thought about the pf9 but can't stand the trigger. the shield or kahr would have my vote...

None of the above. When I want something very discrete I carry a Beretta Nano or Ruger LCR. I'd probably carry a PPS if I could find one. Most of the time I carry a real gun.:D

None of the above. In 9mm I carry either a Browning Hi Power or a Sig P938. Off of your list I'd go with the Shield.
I have previously owned a Kahr PM9. Never had any problems with it, just didn't like it.

I have had the G26, Shield and now the XDs 9.

I really liked the G26, liked the 10 round mag, that, with the pinky extension could be 12 rounds. It shot nearly as accurately as a G19 and could use G19 mags.

But, felt it was just a bit too bulky for summer clothing here where it is hot.

Switched to the Shield. Nice gun, very good ergonomics, shot very well. Nice and slim for CC. But...could never get the last round in either of the mags. So...that left me with 6 rounds in the flush mag, 7 in the extended (it could have just been me).

SO....traded for an XDs 9. I get the same slim profile, same light weight, same very good to shoot, accurate gun, that I can get the full 7 rounds in the flush mag and the full ....9...in the extended mag. 9+1 for 10 onboard.

Comes with two flush mags, but SA is running a deal (ends tomorrow?) whereby, if you buy a new gun, they will send you three more mags, two flush and one extended.

Of course, the XDs and G26 are about $100-150 more than then Shield.

To shoot, the G26 definitely. If you want an XDs that is more "shootable" try the XDs 4.0. Almost like having two guns, with the extended mag (comes with a flush mag and extended mag).

For CC, the XDs.

Hope this helps

Truthfully my primary choice is "none of the above" as it is a Beretta Px4 SC in 9mm *but* I do carry a Gen4 Glock 26 in rotation and as a primary sometimes.

It's my second choice by a very slim margin and a great choice of the choices in the poll.

VooDoo

My EDC for years has been the Ruger LCP. The trigger sucks, the sights don't exist, .380 is my bottom end of acceptable for power, but there's just nothing that comes within a mile of the thing concealability-wise.

That said, I've been looking to upgrade for a while. I really like my brother's Kahr PM9 and I really like the S&W Shield. I will probably end up going with the Shield, the model without the safety. I may also go with the Walther PPS, outstanding gun, but it's a bit larger than these choices.

Yet another None of the Above. In a compact 9mm. it's a Ruger SR9c or a CZ P01; in a sub-compact it's a Kahr CM9.

Interesting responses, thus far to say the least. Sorry for not putting an "other" in the poll. Thought about it just after hitting submit.

Kahr PM9:)
There is a "Black Rose" model but I think that costs around $1,000 too much money for this gun.

Glock 27, same as the 26 just in a better suited caliber for my needs! I also carry a Kahr CM 9 and a CW .380 at times

None of the above...

Own a G26 gen3 and the Walther PPS, but my small hands and short fingers don't handle the fat grip on the G26 well, so it's the PPS for me! Will be trading or selling the G26 in favor of something larger for HD. It's gotta fit my small paws, though.

None of the above. I regularly carry the Ruger LC9s. The 9s has a FANTASTIC trigger pull, is easy to conceal and eats everything I have fed it. I highly recommend it.

The Kahr PM 9 is a very accurate gun and it shoots alot better than a Ruger LCR +P 38
