Fellas, this thread has disturbed me greatly. I'm realizing that I have only ACP's around here in .45 and not one LC. Not cool!

Reminds me of a gun show where one of those cowboy action shooters ragged on me for calling the caliber ".45 long colt" he said it was just ".45 colt". I said, that's how it reads on the boxes of ammo I buy so.... oh well lol.

A S&W 25
A Super BlackHawk Hunter in stainless
A nickle Webley top-break that was re-chambered in .45Colt.

I really need a couple of Cimarron SA in .45colt because...well, just because I want a set.

Does a 454 count?

Got two Bisley Blackhawks, two Uberti Colt-clones and a Rossi 92, and a Super Redhawk 454. That one will shoot 45 Colt. So does it count?


Oh. Just remembered. Got an AWA Peacekeeper. Guess I do have 6 45 Colts, even without the Super.

There is just something about the lure of the 45 Colt. Maybe an early west Cowboy thing but the cartridge has a magic attraction along with the guns designed for it. Saw a S&W Model 25 (granted not a cowboy gun) the other day that was calling to me but I was set on another Series 70 Colt .45 ACP. I do see another 45 Colt in my near future though.

Those great big heavy cases and loaded rounds just feel so good in your hands. Loading them(on the press and in the gun) is very satisfying.

When I was shooting cowboy action I had 10 pair of Ruger Vaqueros, that is twenty guns, at the same time. I had a Marlin Cowboy comp, a regular Marlin Cowboy and two uberti 1873's also in 45 colt. I also had various other guns along they way in the same caliber like Uberti pistols and Rossi rifles. Unfortunately I fell in love with 1911's and the only gun I kept in 45 Colt was the marlin Cowboy. I currently have a like new Cimmaron on hold at the local gun store. I wan't a pair of New Vaquero 45 convertibles with 5 " barrel and a pair of Birds head convertible with 3 1/2" barrels. If I ever see the right deal on a '73 at the right time I will buy it as well. I still have my leather.

I like that Blackhawk ljnowell. I had one like it but I traded it straight across for a Bisley .44 Special. I'll probably replace it with a 4 5/8" .45 Blackhawk convertible sometime this year.
