I wonder what the most expensive gun club is in the US?

The skeet and trap club here in Central FL is $25 for a membership. Five trap fields, 2 skeet and one 5 stand.

At home in Northern NY $25 individual 250 yards. Thirty five/family with two under 17.
Club house.

I took a loan out on 50 acres. I put a good amount of savings in on it up front as well.

I pay quite a bit monthly, up there with some of these "clubs". I can shoot, hunt, make a fire by the river, hang out with friends, etc...The only difference is I can build a house on it one day.

What was the one I heard mentioned in a history channel bit about JP Morgan or some other monopoly bigwig...I think a dam burst as part of it and took out a whole town and that was the end of the club...?

Range fees are troublesome to me. I will not pay my money to shoot how somebody else wants me to shoot. That's the long and short version piled into one. For what a lot of folks pay in range fees and dues etc I can buy a small plot of land, rent a bobcat loader or a track hoe, and build what I want, how I want it, use it how I want, when I want, bring who I want, and best of all rip a nice stinker without worrying about what the guy 3 lanes over will say. No waiting for a cold range, no waiting in line...AND in the hole I got my berm material from I can pull out bass, bluegill, and catfish after a couple years...again at my leisure. Gotta love sweat equity.

So now, what makes more sense? Pay somebody else, or buy your own? A 10 acre parcel sells for around 25 grand, more or less around here. Cut the timber and get 5-10 back up front. That will easily cover equipment rental and let you score a good chunk of your investment back...your downpayment came back home.....Over 20 years your paying about 1200 a year counting taxes and interest. So, 100 bucks a month, for a place you do as you please...literally could sit naked drinking a maitai smoking a cigar plugging away at whatever paper you want while waiting for your catfish pole to start jerking.

Now I'm looking for another small farm

Guess that depends on what you consider a "small plot of land" and where it is located.

There is a thread running in various forums about a guy in Florida and his backyard range, that while technically legal, was dangerous considering how small his "plot of land" was.

The US Marines run the best gun club, with the most extensive facilities.
It is said that the initial cost of membership is a tad steep.

I pay $45 a year plus $5 anytime I use the indoor pistol range , we have three 100 yard bunkers 2 tables per , so 6 can shoot at 100 at one time from your own table , two 50 yard bunkers 3 tables , two 25 yard bunkers 3 tables , two 10yard bunkers with two tables , indoor Archery (3D) and outdoor Archery with a few platforms to shoot from one has stairs about 18' up , and a real Bar

no fee for the out door range , membership comes with the combo for the gate , shoot during day light all you want , no RO. clean up after your self ,pick all the brass you want :)

$100,000 !!! club fee NOT!!! I bought 41ac of timber for less than that

They're not up and running yet, but they are selling memberships already...

$5000 to sign up and then $125 a month. No membership, no entry.

Still not as spendy as the Frisco Gun Club. By the way, you can shoot as a non-member at the Frisco club--in fact, if you go during the day on a weekday the range fee is quite reasonable.

Well, the Deerfield Valley Sportsman' s Club runs to about $65 a year for the family and Great Guns in Nunn Co is $180, so not breaking the bank at either. If I live long enough to get to the top of the Boulder Rifle Club waiting list, that might be some money...

I wonder why so many felt the need to ignore the question and instead tell us of the "bargains" they are receiving? Maybe they're not so certain they're bargains after all? Might just be envy too... ;)

$240/yr prorated and $240 initiation fee paid once. 20 handgun bays to 75 yards. 45 100 yard covered bay. 200, 600 and 1000 yards bays. Handgun training center, .22 range and more.
15 minutes from my house.

I don't know what the most expensive gun clubs cost, and frankly I could care less about a bar, shower, bragging rights, or etc., when I want to go shooting at my little country gun club.

I pay a flat rate of $40 a year to be a member of a local gun club. Facilities include nothing more than an indoor pistol range, indoor archery range, and outdoor up to 100yard range. I can access the private facilities 24/7.

I do find it interesting though, to read what other people are paying and for what amenities (no envy or misplaced pride about it).

Wow my paltry gun club is $450/year. Plenty of $100k shotguns show up, but guess it's relative to your cash flow and local market.

Valhalla Shooting Club has a one time fee of $68,000.00. Not bad considering there are no annual dues.
