My friend in Pittburgh PA might pick up a NIB SIG P220 .45acp pistol.
I also heard from another friend in western PA the small PD where I grew up in the 1980s just purchased new SIG Sauer models for all the sworn officers(20-30 full time). They had Glock 22 .40 pistols for years but decided to buy SIGs with a COPS grant. I think they got P227Rs like the PA state troopers but they might have picked the P226R in 9mm or .40S&W. Many of the cops use white lights or lasers that I saw so it might be the P226R. That seems faster & easier to fire one handed in a low light event or traffic stop.
