I just saw a new message on Instagram.com that S&W has a new offer on M&P pistols.
If you purchased a new M&P series semi auto pistol from 03/29/2015 to 05/31/2015; you can get three/03 free M&P magazines, .
This new offer does not apply to M&P Shields. See the main S&W website for offer details.
I was thinking of buying a new M&P .45acp with ambi safety, this 03 magazine offer may be worth the $$$.

S&W offer, gun shops, wait times .....

No problem guys!
To my limited knowledge, Smith & Wesson can take looonnggg times to send out free stuff, . If you buy a new M&P pistol, keep after S&W to get the extra magazines.
To be clear, the 3 free pistol mags are in addition to the M&P magazines with each new firearm.
If you buy a M&P from a gun shop or retailer, check the S&W case/box too. A large gun shop/brick & mortar location I've purchased guns from in the past sometimes "loads up" a customer's new purchase rather than inventory the contents.
My friend bought a M&P compact .45acp & wasn't happy with the shop guys "losing" the S&W spent case/date of manufacture envelope.
Not to rag on gun shop or pawn shop workers either but check with S&W or your FFL dealer about the S&W 3 free M&P mag offer too.
I've dealt with gun shop staff in the past that were unaware of shop sales, or "didn't know" about S&W rebates, free items, promotions, etc.
The M&P magazine offer runs until 05/31/2015 so you have a few weeks to raise the $. Id bet many gun shops or vendors will have Memorial Day sales too.
M&Ps in my area have sale prices around $399.00 USD, .

I just ordered an M&P 40 pro series 5" on the 21st. It hasn't arrived yet, but I wonder if they will go off purchase date or delivery. My guess would be purchase.

Id think Smith & Wesson would go by the date on the final printed receipt.
If I recall, my local gun shop printed up a receipt but then made a new one on the day I picked up the firearm(mandated waiting period). I may have purchased a box or two of ammunition too, I don't recall.
I'm curious to know if you could mix the M&P calibers. If you bought a new .40S&W could you ask for 1 .40 magazine with 2 9mm? If you buy a after market conversion barrel for a .40 M&P in 9x19mm you can get the extra M&P mags in 9mm then carry the spares in either caliber, .
From what I know, the original caliber for the M&P pistol was .40S&W. That's what it's engineered around.
I had a .45acp Compact that shot/handled well.
I'm thinking of doing a trade for my big Glock 21 gen 04 with night sights then buying a NIB CORE M&P .40 or maybe the "FDE" M&P .45acp with the 4.5" barrel. I'm fond of the M&Ps with ambi safety controls(for duty use) so that's a +.

Rebates & offers ....

Check the fine print & make sure you can use both offers-rebates for the M&Ps.
Smith & Wesson may only allow one or the other but not both.

Took 6 weeks to get my 2 free mags several years back...

If I were in the market for a striker fired gun it would be an M&P CORE. If only I didn't need a CZ tactical sport. I could save 800 bucks and get 3 free magazines.

Not a bad deal. Has S&W begun shipping M&Ps with APEX trigger kits yet? Or are they sticking with the horrendous one that they originally started out with?

Good to see they've caught up with the spare mags. M&P mags were unobtanium for too long a time post Sandy Hook. I'd like to see them offer some "sales" for long time M&P users who've suffered trying to find extra mags.

I called S&W CS earlier today and told them Buds guns listed the purchase date of my M&P 9mm FS as 3/23. Buds has not shipped the gun yet. I wanted to know if I would still qualify for the free mag offer (3/29 - 5/31). S&W said that they would go by the date that my FFL processed the gun once I picked it up.

Bud's has M & Ps in 40 & 9 for about $435 & 45s for a few $ more. It doesn't seem like it is something that they sell out of but with the new offer, it is a possibility.I took advantage of the 2 magazine offer in 2009 right after I got my M & P 9. It is a nice bonus with an already fine weapon. S & W has been improving their triggers steadily for several years so the complaint about their triggers doesn't seem valid at the present time.
