As a current NYPD officer, I haven't heard anything about this, and I seriously doubt it's going to regular patrol. Highway units have shotguns I think, I've only seen Ithaca 37s and once I saw a Remington while qualifying at the range, but otherwise, no shotguns in the regular cars. Right now...
Anschutz recommends cleaning every 1000 rounds for the first 10000, and then every 5000 after that.
Personally I only clean the bore when I notice an accuracy drop.
I'm sure a gun store won't give you a hard time. I usually go to PA to get store bought ammo anyway, but really, most of my ammo comes from aimsurplus.com and others
Does anyone have a Blackhawk with the conversion cylinder or something like the US Firearms SAA that I am looking at that has the .45LC with .45ACP cylinder option?
Really appealing, but I wonder does accuracy stay with the cylinder swap? Probably some POI shift with fixed sights?
5946 here for work, enjoy it though will definately have trigger work done when I retire
Not sure of what the main differences between the 5946 and the 5906 though, could someone clarify?
My friend had one for a while. It was very cool, if it was the price of an ACOG that would be great. I recall it being a bit hefty though, but it definately was cool.
Don't recall what batteries it took though or what the battery life was, but I still have not replaced my ACOG with an ELCAN...

In fact, my range buddy who always has the nicest stuff...
Does anyone have one of the .45 LC ones with a .45 ACP cylinder or the Lend Lease model?
I really neeeeeeeeeeed ( :D ) a SAA, and one that would shoot .45 ACP that I already own with accuracy would be awesome
I carry both a S&W 5946 and Glock 26 in very similar holsters from Galco. I am about 5'10 and only 135-140 and have no trouble concealing. I use a Wilderness instructor belt, which is nice and stiff and keeps the guns from flopping around, evne the monster S&W.
The glock 26 I can usually...
I work with a guy who was Miami-Dade PD, I will ask him when I see him next.
NYPD gives three choices for on duty: S&W 5946, SIG P226 (no rail), Glock 19. All have 12 pound triggers, 9mm only, 15 round mags, 124gr+P Speer Gold Dot, all with Trijicon night sights.
Guys with older guns like...
