Someone told me once that they did something similiar. Only the story was that you could hang a bedsheet from the top; like a closeline, and shoot it with a .22 and the sheet would simply move out of the way.
I don't know but several things. First, the lower you shoot the sheet, the more...
I heard a guy say once that you don't sell 4wd pickups by catering to the environmentalists. I think the same holds true for guns and ammo.
There must be alot of members in the black helicopter anxiety club as you say because .223 SS109 is sold out every where.
I bet the liberal antis...
Ryan,
That's exactly my point. By construction, the SS109 is exempt so regardless of what you'd call the finished product, why doesn't some other manufacturer make an identical bullet / cartridge for the other calibers? Heck, sounds like you could make pistol cartridges with that...
I go to church and my Dad is the Pastor. With all the shootings that have occurred, I can say that carrying would not be innappropriate at our church. David took 5 stones for Goliath. Before Jesus left he said him that hath a sword let him take it.
I don't think it should be an issue at...
I live near Cape Girardeau Missouri and that was great for that woman to not be a victim a second time. Brave criminal. In Missouri now, you sign your life away entering someone's house, armed or not.
BTW, Sikeston is about 30 minutes south and it's the home of the throwed rolls...
I hope this is in the right thread and if it's not, I'm sorry but I'm not real experienced on this board.
Anyway, SS109 ammo is selling like crazy and it's not AP ammo by definition and is not considered AP ammo by the BATF.
So, to me if an ammo company was halfway smart, why not make...
At a fairly small gunshop the othe day I asked if they had any 5.45 X 39 and he asked, "what's that used in?" and said he's never heard of it and I was the first person who asked for it. I had just purchased 3 boxes at another gunshop across town.

The laws in Missouri recently changed. Basically now, you sign your life away as soon as you enter somebody's home. Used to you had to fear your life was in danger but not anymore.

I can see the AP bullets being illegal by current laws (not that I agree mind you) but why was the hollow point pulled? I know it penetrated body armor but the AP laws are written based on bullet construction and not performance? Can the ATF write laws now?
Are they (HPs I mean) restricted...
Question for the cartridge collectors. I've always had an interest in the odd rounds and have read all the old posts but can somebody give me the run-down on the different brands / types of metal piercing rounds and which worked best on various penetration? Anybody got any pics of these...
I've debated this many times and have heard the M1 argument although usually somebody asks me if I think it's okay to own a stinger missile then.
Couple points. Even if there were no firearms restrictions, a Stinger and an M1 Abrams would still be illegal to own for several reasons. #1...
GE minigun from Terminator and predator. 20mm vulcan auto cannon that somebody was photo'd fireing on a tripod at the machine gun shoot.
Hmmm. I'd love to have one of the old .577 bland revolvers like Ross Seyfried has.
Tim
I asked that a couple years ago but I don't remember the reply. It's not a 29 I do remember that and I'm 99% sure it's a smaller framed .357. Smaller than a N-frame I mean.
Great movie. I'd like to see it again.
Tim
I don't keep up with movies but I saw a recent magazine pic with an actor holding an absolutely HUGE revolver. Looks like would've shot 12 gauge shells or something like that and it looked old although it could've been a ficticious movie prop.
Someone else said the guy played in a movie...
