Problem with Lee auto drum and .44 die

Hi Guys: So I just got a new Lee Six Pack Pro and was setting it up today. When it came to the powder-through expander die and the powder auto drum, I ran into a big problem. The stem of the auto drum will not fit properly into the case expander insert in the .44 special/mag die, so I can’t...

Target powder charge of IMR4895 is 47-48 grains for my 147 gr bullets. I typically only reload with ball powders that meter very well. First experience with...

Lee Auto Drum Powder Measure quality...

Is absolutely a piece of trash... Maybe I shouldn't post when I am as frustrated as I am - so I am prepared for the flames. And I know others use this piece of garbage successfully. But I have had it. I've posted on this before and I don't know what to do - so if you have any suggestions...

    Lee auto drum measure

Have a problem with the Lee auto drum. When cycling the unit there is slack after dumping the powder which does not line up the drum hole with the drop tube. this also happens on the return stroke so the hole does not line up on top. Doesn't seem to have a adjustment for this. Do i have a bad one?

Problem with Lee Auto Drum Powder Measure

Got my dies for 45 colt and in setting them up, I am having problems with the powder measure (or the die, not sure). The powder measure had been working fine with 9mm. So, basically what's happening is if I adjust the depth of the die so that the flare is correct, powder doesn't pour into the...

    Lee Auto Drum

Ok, have to vent my frustration a little tonight. Been trying for over an hour to get 65gr load of SW4350 to measure consistently in my auto drum. Changed drums twice, tried reducing the powder in the drum. I could have already loaded these 300wm in my single stage!!! I've been very happy with...

3D Printed “Wrench” for Lee Auto Drum

Perhaps you’ve seen these, but this 3D printed wrench for the Lee auto drum nut is great for old fingers. I’ve seen them on commercial websites, but thought they were too pricey. Found it on eBay much cheaper.

    Lee Turret Auto Drum Leak

Hi, I am using a Lee Turret Press with the auto drum. I am seeing specs of powder here and there on the turret ring...it’s just a little but it’s definitely leaking out of the drum. I read on Lee’s website that this is common. I have a new small paintbrush and catch trays and I occasionally...

I'm trying to load 30-06 cases w/ 4895 using a Lee Auto-Drum on a LCT press. I'm setting up for 44.8 grns. I'm weighing 10 charges and getting an average before adjusting. I've got it down to a 10 charge of avg of 44.8 +/- 0.1 grn, however, I'm seeing wild swings that cancel each other out to...

    Lee Auto Drum problems

I just had my second Auto Drum screw up on me. At the bottom, the two metal 'ends' that sort of capture the thumb wheel spread enough that when loading powder into a cartridge, one climbs up a bit onto the thumb wheel, cocks, jams and doesn't let the drum return to get another charge of powder...

357sig First batch load on Lee Turret, but no Lee Auto-Drum

Yesterday for the first time I loaded a batch of 357sig on my Lee Turret. I have used the Lee Turret for other pistol cartridges in conjunction with my Lee Auto-Drum. It worked great and started to make me lazy as compared against the Lee singe stage. The brass I used has been prepared for the...

    Lee Auto drum issue

I've been using the auto drum on 9mm and .357 with easy to drop powders for a couple of years. Worked well. Decided to load some 44 mag with Herco, and occasionally had some very low charges. (!) Had a closer look, and 2019-02-27_02-19-23 by Charles Stottlemyer, on Flickr the charge cavity is...
