When I build a new firearm...I like to work the action a lot the day or two before I take it to the range.....this helps smooth everything up.....but I have noticed on tight 1911's they do sometime require a 50-500 round break in to feed every time all the time...even if the barrel and ramp job...
I had a friend that was from Boston, he did not understand why I felt it was a good idea to have a handgun on me every where possible. After a few months he started to get the idea when things happend that were reported on the news and my response was "what could have been differnet if one able...
what is real funny is that i have heard two things from current LEO in El Paso....4inches from one and palm of hand from other....
I asked whos palm mine or yours...he said his...I have huge hands...
but the written law says 5.5inches....
I hated that kind of thing when I was a cop and...
OK...I know that guns come up all the time what about other tools that are frowned upon sometimes like Knives..
let me start off with...
I used to be LEO....(5yrs FSPD, 8Yrs CCSD)
I am not a lawyer.....
I always try to follow the law...
I want to carry a certian knife...
if you are firing one of the M2's I am responsible for and I found you were using anytihing other than approved lube.....I would be upset....
more for liability reasons of maintinance than anythnig else....

what if.....
(we can never decide when a situation is going to turn bad)
the only gun you have with you at the time is loaded with a plinking ammo you loaded and you have to shoot somebody?....
in a perfect world we would never have to use a firearm or other weapon for "SD" and if we...
as a gunsmith...I only use
CLP(BreakFree)
Miltec
hoppes
rem-oil
or Larue products....
not saying that Motor oil does not work fine...or ATF....
but I would never use powdered graphite on a gun.....
just my .02 and there are other schools of thought...
if it was under his jacket it was either a .50bmg with a chopped barrel.....or some other smaller 50 cal round.....
wonder if it could be one of the few black powder conversions that have been made...
+1
I was an Officer for the Government...they only wanted us to use Department approved/issued holsters and equipment....they got us some cheep uncle mike ones....I purchased and used my own...when they told me to use my issued one I said it wsa broke and they needed to replace it...they dropped...
when I learn something about a subject it si to help bring me to a better understanding of the world as a whole....not because I am smarter than you but to exchange knowledge and ideas....
as far as words not having strength of meaning...well a big part of that makes the world the place it is...
