When I lived in Benbrook Texas (west side of FW) I made the drive to Southwest Ammunition Supply Co in Mesquite. It was well worth the drive. When there was a W231 powder shortage I was still able to but a 4lb jug from them.
I recently added a Shield 2.0 in 9mm to my collection and really glad I did. Summer concealed carry is so much more comfortable than my G19. My wife enjoys shooting it much more than the Glock too.
My car does not have a locked glove box, I was wondering what others use to lock your handgun in your car in the event you visit an establishment that does not allow forearms?
Dudedog I was curious if you have loaded the 124gr FN with W231 and if so what your results were. I load my 124's @ 4.5 W231 at 1.08 and was curious. My guess is the two would be very similar as I read that HP38 and 231 are similar and some say even the same.
Thanks
Preaching to the choir here as well. I only tumble 2 hours in a Harbour Freight unit. I use bowls and strainer from Dollar Tree for the media separator (less the $5).
I currently use a four die setup separate seating and crimping. When I got started reloading in 1978 I just used a 3-die setup and loaded over 50k like that so it can be done. Separating the two I do believe is a better way to go and I will always seperate now.
I use a Tapered crimp on my 9mm...

So I completed my new seating stem last night and although I am feeling like crap this morning I tried loading 5 RMR 124 FN which seem to give me this not so seated straight look and all 5 looked perfectly straight and uniform all around. I am glad I did this. As I took a molded impression of...
So I have been switching back and forth between the 124FN RMR and the 124FN from Xtreme. I can't really tell much difference in accuracy between them as I don't have a pistol shooting rest but do see a slight edge to the 124 RN.
My question to you is I definitely notice the Xtreme at...
Linotype is another good source to search for. Back in the 80's I had a free source and it's nice and hard. I see ebay has plenty of sources. I did a quick search and for a 45 you would be in the $50 range for 1k.
On your Auto Drum when you tighten the knurled lock nut on the measure tight can you rock the measure by pushing on the hopper? Mine has done this since new and it does not seem to affect anything but tonight after cleaning my dies I decided to try and installing it without the riser and it...
