I can usually find FMJ bullets withing a couple of dollars per k of plated bullets. I make my own coated bullets, so I use those unless I have some old jacketed bullets laying around or I sold everything in the caliber I want to load for.
Well, by BIL was shocked when I took it off in the car on the way home. He knew I was carrying that day but thought I left the gun at the house, what I was doing was switching from a pro the 3914.
I was really testing the holster, or I would have been carrying another gun.
There is a high...
Daily Carry is an M&P pro
Smaller gun carry is a 3914
When it comes to shooting minute of man within 25 yards, it doesn't matter which one I have. If I need to make head shots at 30 yards because the stage designer is a dick, I want the pro.
I look at people like they are stupid when they don't carry a knife. A thing as simple as a pocket knife should be incorporated into daily carry for all. Anyway, if I get stopped in my state I have to inform the officer I am carrying a firearm due to the concealed carry law. Now I have asked...
I carried at a Better than Ezra concert about 10 people deep into the crowd Friday night. Nobody had a clue I had a gun. Not the cops all around, not the people jumping around me, not when I had to get the guy off my wife who was trying to take the free t shirts that landed in her hands. I was...
You have to find the proper stance for YOUR natural point of aim.
Go to the range, or hang a target somewhere with an empty gun. Take a natural stance, put your weapon out in a natural stance and close your eyes. Now move your gun in circles about 10 times with your eyes closed and point...
...in the car and I was going into a building where everyone I knew would be carrying a gun. They where in true shock I didn't have a gun. I did have a spring assisted opening knife and flashlight and I make all the crazy **** they come up with so they let me keep my official Louisiana Man Card.
Oh, I have said positive things about other products. The "Bull" brands and single layer stuff is quite lacking. Rosen makes some quality products. I mean, Akers and triple K have been offered as quality products on this forum. I do want to sell as much as I can, but didn't join to sell, I...
Somebody should really cover that trigger.
I have done designs incorporated into belts for knives and magazines, but I would never imagine doing it for a full size gun, the trigger is not covered, I am sure the pull is minimal. Looks like an AD waiting to happen. Obviously it is only a single...
I have never seen Bull hide for sale from an American source. I have experience working with variety of leathers. IMO Hermann Oak is the best. All the bull hide I have seen I wouldn't buy, the grain side may look OK, but flip it over and you can tell the age from defects in the leather. I...
The belt man has some questionable statements about the quality of leather on his website. Bull hide in the leather industry means Branded, Mexican hides tanned in Mexico. Think about it, we don't kill bulls here in the US since we don't have a sporting purpose for them. I like to think about...
I have had paddle holsters made from some of the best in the business, they are all for range use. If I am carrying, I am wearing leather. I get crap from guys at matches when I have a custom kydex holster on when I make leather holsters.
If you want a good OWB holster for carry, get a well...
Plaese don't torture your holsters. Your two main points of retention are the trigger guard and Ejection port. You want it to "click" in in the trigger guard and the ejection port and snug everywhere else. It will break in on it's own after a few draws, but if you must get a thin bag, like a...
The 3914 is mine, the 3913 belongs to Donnie Miculek. I wish the pair was mine, and I wouldn't mind having a 3913NL and maybe a TSW also. The 3914 has holster wear, but my guess would be less than 200 rounds through it.
Donnie of Bayou Bullets asked me to make him a more stable holster than his the Milt Sparks he was carrying for his 3913 and I happened to stumble accross a 3914 and purchase it the day before my birthday. While I had both pistols I thought it would be nice to make contrasting holsters for...
Black is $75 and $6 shipping. 1.5", two layers Hermann oak leather. Inside layer is natural, outside is black to prevent black rubbing off on your clothes. The layers are cemented and stitched together. Leather is much higher quality than "Bullhide". Only bull hide I have seen available is...
