After seeing the OPs pic I went and grabbed my XD9 in its High Noon 'Split Decision' Holster. It looks just fine (the site is nearly perfectly aligned), and very finished by comparison (no offense). It's actually very nice for the $40 otd I paid for it. For the money I'd buy from HNH again...
If you like to read comparisons on these two, try Glocktalk and XDTalk. There is some comparison chatter, good natured bashing, and good info.
The trade off in my opinion seems to be the additional thickness of the XD (about 1/8th", I think).
I have 1991 Mark II Standard. It is very basic, nothing like the pics seen in this thread. They are accurate and a fun plinker. If you struggle with the reassembly, check out a couple vids on Youtube. Once you know the trick, it is pretty easy.
I'm a little late seeing this post, but I will jump in. I have a '76 P64 and it is fun to shoot. Retro is right though, the DA pull is a bit heavy (I have read up to 29lbs) but I choose to think of it as a safety.
The first time I took mine to the range I put 200 rounds through it and my...
The last update from KING5 - was 1 dead and 3 serious condition.
That Mall, in my view, has been a problem for years. The "Food Court" was more like "Loiter Central", with a loitering to eating ratio of about 25 to 1 on busy days/weekends. So much so that I avoided entering/exiting from that...
I don' recall hearing anything bad about any of the ones mentioned throughout this thread - Glock26, XD9SC, or M&P. At the end of the day pick what feels best to you (one of these or others), shoot them before you buy (if you can) and I am sure you will be very happy with whichever you decide...
The words range report should be in quotations. This is my first time out after buying the cougar and my worst outing ever. It also took time for me to get used to my CZ a while back, but this was far worse. Everything left. Everything. I mean way left.
The DA trigger pull is very light...
Educate me please. Honestly, I see references to 1911 all the time, yet I only have a vague idea of the implication. Is it single stack and SA that defines it? Or the keeping to the design of the original (Browning?). I should have asked this long ago...
My CZ82 is a great size for carry. Now finding hollow points is a bit of a problem. I also have the Cougar 8000, which is very close in size to the Bersa UC9 and Sig P6. Anyone conceal carry the Cougar? Seems a bit wide for carry (comparing to my CZ82).
She's been talking about it and we are finally going today. She will start with the Ruger MKII .22 and perhaps the CZ82. She has never fired a handgun before , so we had a bit of a lesson last night on the usual dos and don'ts.
If she shoots better than me, I've told her she is officially...
I have owned the CZ82 for several months. Purchased from AIM Surplus. $220 including extra $10 for hand pick. Appeared in NEW condition without holster wear, smudges etc. A truly great buy. A very shooter. 9x18 Makarov ammo not hard to find if you know where to look - online stores...
My Father purchased a 742 in 1980 and had used it perhaps a half dozen times in total. It has been moved once in the last 18 years - when they moved. Can someone point me in the direction of a resource to determine its value? He would really just like to find a good home for it at a fair price...
Such a close call. Pick the one that you like (and that likes you the best - fits hand well etc) and get to know it. I have a CZ82 and really like it. Bersa makes a very nice 380. Take some time and enjoy comparing them all.
I was so impressed with my surplus CZ-82, that I went to look at the Z5. The trouble I had was that it didn't seem to fit my hand as well as some others, such as the Sigma and Cougar. So I took a pass for now. But what a great looking gun. Great reviews as well.
Cougar 8000
Just bought My Cougar this weekend. I've been thinking about it for some time now and could not beat the price I saw - $315. Will take it out next week hopefully and will report out. My only 'complaint' is the grip; it is very basic and does not feel nearly as good as the Sigma I...
...power of the .22...obviously less than larger cal. But better than a spoon from the kitchen drawer. But I have had my mark II for 15 years and it is a great little gun. However the first time I broke it down to clean, it was a B*TCH to put back together. I actually took it to a dealer for...
My New 82
I would like to provide input on the CZ82. I ordered mine from AIM and received it this weekend. I opted for handpick for an extra $10, bringing the price to $219. It arrive looking like a brand new gun.
Very close inspections revealed no scratches or wear marks - really. I am very...
My thoughts on my new CZ82
I can provide no comparative data on the CZs in question but would like to provide input on the CZ82. I ordered mine from AIM and received it this weekend. I opted for handpick for an extra $10, bringing the price to $219. It arrive looking like a brand new gun...
I decided on the CZ-82. Looking forward to taking it to the range this weekend. I ran across a comment somewhere that for this and the Mak to stay with about 95gr ammo. Is this correct? All I have locally is 115gr.
