To find the expander only part, go to Reloading Dies then click on single dies, then click on Handgun Powder Through Dies. Select the powder through die of your choice, then right below on Product Information, click on here for parts. From there, you can select the powder through expander...
Ordered and receive my Lee expander plugs in 9 mm, 10 mm, 45 ACP and 38/357 Mag. off the website this week, and they were the new two-step variety. I just ordered the plug only by selecting the appropriate caliber powder through expander die and ordered the expander part. Looking forward to...
Asking what cartridge I like reloading is like asking which of my children I like best. I can't really put a finger on any one pistol or rifle cartridge because I enjoy them all. I shoot cast lead in every caliber I shoot, so there are always new loads and bullets to try. I'm starting down the...
Lots of good powder out there for cast loads in rifles. 2400 is one of my favorites as well, but powders like Reloader #7, IMR or H-4198. IMR or H-4895, H-335 and IMR-3031 are all excellent powders for cast rifle loads. Except for 3031 I used all the above with excellent success.
The Lee 9 mm bullet seating die has the taper crimp already built into the die, if you're getting a roll crimp you have the die body adjusted down too far and are over crimping. Back the die way off and take a sized unflaired case and run the ram all the way up and adjust the die body down...
The old Lyman #45 manual has plenty of load data using 2400 with standard 38 special loads. Regardless of if the loads listed are using jacketed or cast bullets velocities are on par with other powders listed for that bullet weight it just takes more 2400 to get the same results.
It's not the...
I can only think of two occasions where I actually did that, one being when I bought some new primed brass and I wanted to make sure the cases were properly sized, and the case necks were concentric and expanded to the correct dia. to fit my bullets. Secondly when I demilled some surplus...
I started casting around 35 years ago, subsequently I have plenty of various lead based alloys and pure lead put back to last me a long time. I still shoot the occasional jacket bullet mostly in surplus ammo but I do load a few once in a while and have a few hundred for each caliber firearm I...
USP Mineral Oil is fine for coating steel molds or steel parts on molds, Ed Harris recommended it to me many years ago. It's non-toxic, burns off clean when the mold is heated and leaves no residue.
You're not prepared if you wait till the last minute to buy supplies. Being a prepper means you prepare ahead of time when times are good for when they are not it's not like this hasnt happened multiple time before over the past twenty+ years. Back in January of last year you could walk into...
I made my own stand to hold my RCBS Little Dandy and DUO measurer over my press for dropping charges that don't require trickling using a Hornady powder through die / funnel kit, it rock solid and works like a champ and can be adjusted in any direction needed.
My brother made his own version...

The diameter of a powder coated bullet will depend on the brand of powder used and your coating technique, mine generally average around .002" larger after coating using the shake and bake method. I size my bullets to the same diameter as I would if I were using traditional forms of lube. In my...
NOE clone of the Lyman /Ideal Ray Thompson designed double crimp groove 358156 mold. Mine comes with two sets of pins, one for casting HP's the other set for casting flat nose bullets.
Bullet on the right loaded at 38+P pressure/ velocity was recovered for wet pack media, no gas check needed...
I made my own but I found this one just looking around. Just hit the download arrow in the top right corner to do a direct download.

Not only do I reload for every caliber handgun and rifle I shoot but I also cast all my own bullets for all those firearms as well, cheap and plentiful is fine until it's not. It hasn't been that many years ago when you couldn't find some handgun and rifle caliber with a search warrant not to...
