A little help with a Wobbly Webley

Good to know, I had cleaned that out last night, the spring on the hammer was gunked up did not fully.. well spring. After I cleaned it up it moved much better. Once back together I will see if that is what caused so much trouble, or if it is time for a new hand.

A little help with a Wobbly Webley

The trigger seems to bind, and the cylinder will not turn. If I take my finger off the trigger it will return to rest and I can then pull the trigger again and the cylinder will spin. It only happens with double action when trying to pull the trigger 'briskly' as if attempting a follow up shot...

A little help with a Wobbly Webley

Sure I will do so soon, I am in the middle of cleaning it up, and will post something once it is back together. I am thinking the pawl might be worn and not pushing as it should. I will try to take a picture of what it looks like when the cylinder is stuck and wont turn.

A little help with a Wobbly Webley

Hey there folks! I picked up a shaved Mark VI Webley and I am wanting to give it some TLC. I have noticed that the revolver functions fine in single action, however when using the revolver in double action the cylinder will sometimes bind, or 'slip' and not rotate properly. I am going to tear it...

    Beretta 1934 Questions on carry

Looks good to me! They are nice little pistols! Awesome, I will have to check it out. I have taken a shine to this little pistol. So took it to the range again yesterday. First time I shot it I put a box of S&B through, no issues, hickups, or problems. Yesterday though, I had the hammer fall...

    Beretta 1934 Questions on carry

Awesome, thank you all for the info. It is a real fun little pistol and I just like to wrap my head around how it was used. The safety is so unique, and I have not run across another firearm with one like it, so I really wanted to see what people used to do! Makes me want to pick up a 70S, seems...

    Beretta 1934 Questions on carry

Found a nice (to me) 1934 made in 36. Its a really nice little 380! Yet looking at this thing, I found it interesting it has such a long service life. The swing over safety is very strange to me, makes me wonder how the Italians carried it for so long? I would not think it safe to carry cocked...

    Trapdoor Advice Needed

Okay that is good to know. I was kinda sad to see that none of them passed. When I get my rifle I will be sure to slug it. from what I have read, soft lead plug, lube it up, and then lightly hammer it down the bore with a wooden dowel. That sound about right? I will have to check out Bear...

Another side note. I do plan on casting once I get the moulds. However I see talk of the 500g vs 405g bullet. Which one would be more historically correct?

    Trapdoor Advice Needed

I am interested in trying BP loads. I enjoy casting and reloading for smokeless, so I think it will be in my wheel house. I ordered the book by Pat Wolf, and I am hoping that will have plenty of good info. I think i will try both types. The thing I am curious about, as smokeless round for the...

Good looking rifle, I am digging into plenty to research. I plan on keeping all my digits if I can help it! and while it may not be a MOA rifle, that is still plenty good for me, it would put dinner on the table! Well, I love my lever gun, and I feel I will like the Trapdoor. I enjoy the...

    Trapdoor Advice Needed

Well that makes things a little easier. I will just keep an eye out for obvious issues. how bad is stock cracking on these? good to know! I will be sure to bring a pin then just to make sure, but if they are easy enough to replace I might not have to worry too much... so long as the rest of...
