Stop the BATFE from banning XM855 Ammunition.
The proposed outline for a ban on XM855 or SS109 is a 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge and is not by the BATFE's definition of AP (armor piercing) ammunition. First, a little background.
The following is that definition:

Well I did respond as follows -
Dear Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Rep. Christopher Murphy, and Elizabeth Esty:
I oppose Common Sense Legislation to End Gun Violence because implementing more laws will not address the issue when you don't enforce the current ones.

I love the Ruger MKII, probably the best 22 pistol out there. I have a High Standard, Buckmark, S&W 22A, Walther P22 and several Rugers. I prefer the MKII over the MKIII.
I have a Ruger MKII, Buckmark, Walther P22, Ruger 10/22 and CZ 452 all threaded. The CZ is the quietest, with the correct ammo it doesn't make a sound. Both the MKII and Buckmark are comparable. Both a little quieter than the Walther P22 (IMHO)
I cleaned 3 Ruger MkII's and 2 MKIII's. The latter I had to swear at to get them back together. I talked to my kids about the day and what it means. Took them and my father-in-law (vet) out to breakfast.
In 1994 I had an MAK90, SKS and shotgun. CT put in it's own AWB in 93 and the MAK was sold off. We still have the ban here, no ak47s, no uzis, no tech-9s, no flash hiders or bayonet lugs on ar15s. I now have a much expanded collection.
Walmart in several towns in CT can't keep ammo on the shelves. It goes within a day of being put on the shelves.
People are stock piling because of the uncertainty.
