Reputable company for sure with great customer service as well. Bought a Kimber from them about 4 months ago. They had the best price. Good luck with your purchase.
Colt xse light weight commander or Kimber pro carry II cammander size as well.. Both can be had for under a grand. Both have proven to be reliable and nice to carry. I like my colt more and I think its a bit lighter but not by much.
+1 to what JMR40 said at 16 bucks at box and It's always on the shelf. 30-30 is a great choice with minimal compromise as a first rifle. More than likely you'll have it forever.
Maybe its not much of a collectable after all. Guess I'd have to send the serial number off to Winchester to find out what it was originally. Anyone know of more sites where I can do more research?

If I was...
Anyone have comments or shooting experience with the new colt/ umarex .22? I asked this question a week ago with no replys. Still looking for input if anyone's got any.
Has anyone bought one of these yet? I've read the specs and heard some chatter about them selling for about $389.00.
Anyone on THR have first hand shooting experience with it? It looks tempting for some plinking and inexpensive practice!
See the link below and thanks in advance...
I have a early production cz-50 (.32 cal) produced in1950. Made specifically for the Czech police after WWII. I just think its a cool looking weapon. The attached image is not my weapon but its exactly the same.
My first real gun was a Winchester Model 310 single shot .22. My Dad bought it for me on my 12th Birthday. I spent hours in the woods Destroying tin cans and blowing up Bottles. Later on that same gun taught my Brother to shoot. He dropped it on a rock while we were hunting critters and cracked...
Thanks for the tips but I'm still striking out. I have seen sites that had some at some point and yes....they were expensive. I'm sure one will pop up some day.
