...going to foreign markets. I mean why don't we just substitute the traditional awesome American V8's in our full sized truck for crappy, boosted 60* v6's????? oh wait we do which is why I'm no longer a Ford fanboy. Same with Winchester. I feel sorry for the vets who have fought defending this...
^Odd that has been 100% of my experience with Ed Brown magwells. And yes I have plenty of pics if needed. I've on my 3rd magwell from them, and am just living with it as I'm tired of sending them back and forth, but everyone starts going bad/rusting in just a matter of weeks. I guess people...
I haven't seem one in any gun shops, but am really interested in one. I'm sure some on here own one. How do you feel it compares to other popular striker fired pistols?(Glock, XD, MP, etc)
Most reviews on it seem to be pretty favorable. What are the best prices you can find them for? For what...
I also replace the factory recoil spring assembly in my Gen3 G20SF with a Wolff 22lb steel rod assembly. The factory one worked fine, but the stiffer aftermarket assembly makes the gun nicer to shoot with higher power loads, but still seems to work just fine with lighter loads.
Yes in my experience Colt makes excellent 1911's. I have felt over loose ones though, but those were in no way new guns. Didn't Colt suffer from quality issues back in the 80's or something?
I've been more than happy with my 2010 model Combat Elite. It is tight without being too tight,(smooth...
But I though Colt also built AR's for our Armed Forces?
Maybe I should just build a similar AR. The main office for PSA is like 20 minutes from me. I'm thinking I can probably build a similar gun for noticeably cheaper. I've modded several of my guns, but never built one piecing parts I've...
I'm no AR expert but I've shot a couple, and I would like to pick a M4 style AR up at some point. I'm kind of a Colt guy for my 1911's and whatnot, but I live in Columbia, SC where FN Manufacturing is located, and it's nice to buy a gun manufactured in your hometown IMO, and obviously FN's...
This is the hardest recoiling and least fun 12 ga I've ever shot other than a cheap single/double shot 12 ga. Hell my dad has a NEF 20 ga single shot and even that thing is a PITA to shot. Still this gun kicks hard. 3" buckshot feels terrible in this thing. It's been a while since I've shot one...
I'm not really looking for overly hard shooting rounds necessarily. Probably any 00 buckshot is more than powerful enough to put a home invader on their ass with the quickness. I want a gun that manages recoils somewhat decently. Maybe one reason this gun kicks so hard is because it's so damn...
I think it's mechanically almost the same gun even though it's cosmetically different. And your probably right, but maybe I should try it with less powerful rounds. The stuff I fired today really surprised me in how hard it made the gun recoil. Speed loading doesn't do much good IMO if it...
I highly agree with Thompsoncustom. Underwood Ammo's Gold Dot loads are the shiznit in any size round. They are my favorite round regardless of the caliber I've shot. .38, 9mm, 10mm, .45ACP, etc. I generally prefer a heavier gr bullet so I say 230 gr for .45 ACP, but I do think a 185 gr bullet...
If not then my new 12 ga is a POS. My gosh the recoil this gun produces, and this is only 2-3/4 shells I'm shooting. I normally don't consider myself weak but after only three shots my shoulder is a little sore. Lets just say you defiantly won't mistake this gun for a Beretta.
Also every time...
If what you are looking for is a honest opinion then here is mine. First when it comes to 1911's I'm a Colt man. They are the originator of it. I own a Combat Elite. I have a buddy with a Delta Elite and it's a nice enough gun, but in reality it's just not as good a handgun to use in the woods...
Pretty much all the ammo I buy anymore for my Pistols is Underwood Ammo. It's not really the cheapest plinking ammo, but it is excellent stuff for the $, and very hard to beat for the $ also. Their rounds loaded with Gold Dots are really good SD rounds IMO. I tend to prefer heavier grain bullets...
^ Yes Underwood Ammo makes some great 10mm loads. I shot some back to back with some similarly rated DT ammo,(both where 200 gr JHP's rated at 1200 FPS I believe) and you could honestly tell that the Underwood Ammo noticeably hotter.
I own a G20, and run a 22lb recoil spring in it. I believe...
Are you just loooking for something to plink and target shoot with? If so then yes I recommend a .22LR but I personally don't own one so I won't recommend one. I will say that I know people Ruger MK II/III's that like them.
For an all around gun the can also be used for SD, and is easy enough...
