Have watched the show and like it, I like the host also. I didn't like him pointing the laser at the customer though. Overall it seems light hearted and makes buying a gun look like a trip to the grocery store, "normal". Want to add that I couldn've done without the stupid scalpel joke too.
I searched though about 15 pages and couldn't find the answer to this question, hope it's not a repeat.
We are selling a handgun on GunBroker first time selling a gun for us. Someone emailed a question through the auction site asking for the gun serial number. Any reason not to share this...
Thanks Animal_Mother, I'm very glad to hear that! Yes, ammo is still scarce here too so it's good to know that commercially reloaded ammo is thought of as fine and also good for target practice. I'll pick up some of the Blazer ammo next time we stop by there, that can be our home defense...
Hope this is the right place to ask this.
My husband & I bought a new handgun, a Steyr m40-a1. This is only the 2nd handgun for us, last one we bought was 20 years ago (been shooting rifles/shotguns). Went to the gun shop and asked for some 40 s&w for some target shooting at the range and...
For what it's worth, something along these lines is mentioned in the July 2009 issue of America's First Freedom. Entitled "Koh, No!" written by Dave Kopel. It'a an article on Harold Koh, the recently confirmed legal adviser in the State Dept. I'm going to type word for word as I couldn't find...
Take a look at these accessories featured in Wired Magazine. I thought the first one was pretty cool, some are kinda humorous too.

What are the minimum desirable specs I should be looking for when buying a laser?
Can a decent laser be found for under $50?
If not what price range and manufacturers should I be looking at?
Crimson Trace and recoil spring guide types are not an option for the Steyr M40 A-1 I want to...
We have a few homeless people in particular in my area who are also mentally unstable. They're not just panhandling they're on the corner, hopping into traffic or throwing things at cars. Screaming & ranting. I had one near my car, just me & my kids inside, windows up and doors locked.
We are...
If it were legal here and the person seemed to be behaving normally I'd not be bothered. It's not legal here though, even conceal carry is hard to get here so it would get a lot of attention and cops probably would be called.
Speaking from my personal experience as a local Hawaiian, my experiences with thievery have been more often occasioned by people of haole descent than any other, hence I believe this observation to be in error.
If anything, avoid crowds of idle young men (of any race).
...items are in your trunk, hidden or whatever.
People can usually tell the look or make of a rental car, but perhaps one or two local style stickers *might* confuse the thieves. A couple of suggestions I'd make are "Eddie Would Go" or "Ainokea".
Also, if you take a camera with you or...
There is a thread in S&T on this very topic, some good info & links.

Also, ARs & Aks are legal in Hawaii. Not a gun friendly state though (i.e. cc is may issue, most higher cap mags are illegal, permit/registration etc).
Would be nice to be able to afford taking the family shooting at the range again. Gonna save some pennies in hopes of price drops or big sales coming up.
I don't think that's legal. How about thorny bushes under the window, better lighting, a camera set up, fenced yard with a dog or changing out the window to something more secure?
Thanks, thats kind of the impression I got from searching around here and on the web. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find out much about them beyond that, as not a whole lot is written about them. I haven't seen anything negative about them, and that's kinda what I'm on the lookout for.
Did they enter the home? I ask because we have a case locally where a teen broke into a single lady's home a few times stealing items, food, wrecking a few things while she was not there.
She found out who it was, spoke with and agreed with his parents who were neighbors to let him work the...
