The most unpleasant thing I own have have fired is the 375 H&H Mag. I did some horse trading with a retired Marine buddy (I am retired Navy). We have known each other and have riden our motorcycles across country together. Well I ended up with his dad's moose gun, a Browning Safari Grade in 375...
No Kimo, at 4:54 you slipped bradda. You and ever firearm owner in HI should have major problems with it. I am trying to get Mikes link to open on my end to see what that says. I am retired USN and did a 4 year tour in HI, Barbers Pt(92-96). I presented myself to the Honolulu PD with just the...
I picked up a 5.56 pistol from them back before Christmas last year. I had read good reports from them on a local TN board. They had a Radical Arms 10.5 for $499. I kept looking at them for a few weeks and the price dropped to $429. I pulled the trigger and my wonderful wife bought it for my...
I too was about to build my first AR and was going to build a pistol. I trolled the net looking at AR pistols and ran across a Radical Arms pistol. They were selling for $499. The more I priced building and adding the tools to build I started to really like the Radical Arms one. Just before...
I have never done that and don't really see the need to actually bury one. However a few years ago I read and article where someone did actually seal and bury a long gun. With that said I have thought about doing something along those lines to some safe queens I have. Ones that I don't really...
Got it. I guess I goofed the Google as I just did name and not blacksmith. I will have to give that a go. Its a handy looking knife and a sweet possible bag.
Cool. Care to link us to the info? I did a quick Google on Sam Gooding this morning with my coffee and did not find anything. Granted I didn't spend much time on it, though.
I have been riding motorcycles for 35 years and carrying for 12. I still haven't found what works for me on the bike yet. I ride a Springer Softail, so it places me in an upright position. I may try the shoulder holster set up this year. I will continue to check this thread for other inputs.
SpyderCo Sharpmaker
Is easy to use and rather economical. Its also what I use to sharpen scissors at my sons school. I volunteer there on a daily basis and I try to keep the schools scissors sharp. As such there are several teachers that regularly ask me to sharpen their personal scissors as...
No longer SoCal
I was stationed in San Diego for 16 years, from the mid 80's and left in 05 with one tour in Hawaii. Generally speaking there were a few mom and pop stores around in IB, Chula Vista, National City, El Cajon, etc. As a rule of thumb for me, I usually stocked up on general...
I retired in 05 and have had nothing to do with the VA since my separation. So, if true I am pretty far down on the list as well. And like Jerkface said I will ask for a real fun amount of locks. Of course I will not list what I own, I would list the many, many that I want to own. :)
Hmmm, Does hso work at Home Depot? Interesting thought, however I bought one on the basis of this thread and have only tinkered with it. So far so good and I am happy to have the $7 dollar beater to have around. :)
You people are pure evil! I do not need another knife and I did not intend on buying one. However I happen to be in Home Depot yesterday looking at step ladders. I didn't get a ladder but I did walk out the door with a $7 knife (that I paid for). I haven't used it yet. It was sharp enough out of...
Sadly I was in Wally World the other day and saw them. What got my attention was the SOG label, upon closer inspection I put the tomahawk, throwing knives and machete back on the shelf and went about my business.
