For the record, I wouldn't wink tiddlys against the Army Marksmanship Unit's Sherri Gallagher. The outcome wouldn't be hard to predict. She's accustomed to competing. And winning.
She's been shooting since she was three, competing -and winning - at shooting competitions all her life and is...
Went up to my personal range couple of days ago to sight in two rifles, a .22 Hornet and a .222 Remington, in anticipation of an upcoming prairie dog hunt. Long story short, fuddleheaded me dropped a .22 Hornet case into the .222 Remington and let fly, or tried to. Pulling the trigger produced...
Couple of gun-related articles from the Casper Wyoming fish wrapper this morning. First one proves reporters back then didnt know any more about guns than they do today. Second one proves that you dont need a big ol' .300 Belchenboomen Mangle'em to shoot a large bear. :D
COUNTY TRIBUNE...
My son is a Reserve Deputy Sheriff in Oregon, he sent this email this morning, I thought someone here might know something:
"I need to tap into your internet and networking skills. I'm needing to make several hundred "dummy" .40 cal rounds to be used on the Sheriff's Office range. This...
A friend took me touring gunshops in the Ogden Utah area today, we hit 4. Not so much for used guns in any of them, one hock shop had some but I came out with my money intact.
One gunshop we hit was a "black rifle" store, must have had 250 or more black rifles of all descriptions on the walls...
According to the seller, this rifle was manufactured for Egypt before the Suez crisis. I have one of these rifles and would like the complete story of how they came to be manufactured and why there are no markings on them. Also, if I were to sell it, what would be a reasonable price to ask, this...
Found a rifle I wanted to bid on but got to reading the description and he wanted $35.00 to ship it!!
Dont need it that bad!! Seems to me the sellers on GB must think we are all idiots. :cuss:

Went to the Yuma AZ gunshow this morning, only stayed about an hour, nothing there I really wanted.
Tons and tons of AR and AK variants, all configurations imagineable, more coming in the door. Sure is different from this time last year when you couldn't find a one.
Tons of knifes, one...
I guess it finally had to happen. Saw my first advertisement for a "vintage AR-15" today . Kinda gave me that "just swallowed a big rock" feeling like the first time a waitress asked me if I wanted the senior citizens menu :D :D :cuss:
A number of us geezers and geezerettes from our gunclub here in Yuma are thinking we would get one of those promotional bus tours up to Las Vegas for a weekend and take in the gunshow, among other endeavors. ;)
We dont know anything about the gunshows up there. Which ones are good and which...
OK, t two guys on another high road thread have had their car searched by the police because they have an NRA or other gun-related bumper sticker on their car. I have never heard of such things happening and have a hard time believing a person exercising the right of free speech gives the...
Last spring I placed a rifle (Winchester 67) in a local large sporting goods store on consignment. I went in there yesterday to retrieve it as we are leaving for the winter and I didnt want to leave it there. Was very dismayed to find that someone had stolen the bolt out of it. Boss wasnt there...
I save my pennies and nickles studiously. I watch the forum classifieds and gunshows for months on end without finding anything that really appeals to me. Then something appears and I blow all the nickles and pennies on it. Sure as the devil, within the next three days on the classifieds...
Happened to be traveling through Casper, Wyoming yesterday and dropped in at the gunshow they have there every couple or three months. The show promoter should be indicted for fraud for advertising this as a gunshow, it was just a flea market with a few guns scattered about! Worst I have ever...
Seemingly every week one gun company or another will introduce yet another "short magnum", "sniper round", "long range smokemjoe" or some such nonsense. They seem to sell a bunch, so it's all good, some shooters will not rest until they find the "holy grail" so to speak. BUT, have you ever...
