like the title says, i need load recommendations for some "light" 454 loads....
please be aware that i am looking for recommendations for factory loads, as i am not a reloader...i am well aware that i will be getting gouged by the price of 454 ammo....i realize reloading would save me...
if you had that many problems with taurus guns, why did you get 6 of them???
i've never owned a taurus, but after about one or two problems, i would've learned my lesson....
i have owned 4 remington 870s and two have had problems that caused them to go "click" insteead of "boom"...
a lot of people vote remington because they have heard so many people recommend them, but i've found that my winchester 1300 was far more reliable than my remingtons...
the shell...
the great thing about this particular coach gun is its weight...
it is very compact, but built extremely heavy...a little over 8 lbs...it weighs just about as much as my remington 870 marine magnum...
i guess i am not recoil sensitive, because to me, this gun does not really kick that...
it is called a fatty game warden and they are made by busse combat knives...
it is indeed a stout little knife...7 inches overall, cutting edege is 2.5"
and it is .270" in thickness!!!
due to its extreme thickness, i had my doubts about how sharp it would be....well, it's sharp enough...
they are imported by TTN, but distributed by EMF and also by Cimarron....
here they are:
cimarron link
EMF link
as far as i can see, both companies are still distributing the TTN coach gun...
the action can be opened and closed with the hammers cocked...i am very wary of decocking with a live shell, so i usually break open the action, remove the live shells, then decock after the chambers are empty...
they do come with reduced power hammer springs for easier cocking, but i have...
i love the 44 special round...
i bought a ruger bisley hunter in 44 magnum just to shoot 44 special...
in the big ruger, the 44 special recoils less than a 9mm...shoots like a frickin laser beam...
i've been lusting for a nice 36...your's is especially nice...since i live in california, it is especially hard to obtain a nice old pre lock
S&W...
i like how it is right now, but your gun would look killer with some nice faux ivory stocks and a tyler t-grip....
by the way, that...
nice pieces fellas...
i did the same thing to my ruger accusport, but i gave up after about 4 coats...perhaps when i have more spare time i will go over a few more times...
