I recently bought an Beretta model 1934 in 380 and it came with some unique paperwork. The backstory is that was issued to an pilot. I believe it was used as an carry weapon possibly. Anyone ever seen paperwork like this ?
Hey Everyone,
I recently picked up a Stevens 417 1/2 to my knowledge. Can anyone confirm the model ? Also it's chambered in 22 hornet which is overpowered for the gun. The stampings look to me like a rebarrel. How rare is the closed lever ? I'm completely new to these Stevens but really like...
Thanks Jim, it is a ranger arms Texas Magnum. I researched further and was surprised. Made about 30 miles north of me in Gainesville. Sad I missed out on this one. Thanks again
Hello,
I missed out on this 358 norma mag rifle that would have been "fun" to shoot but it is unique. I was thinking Weatherby with the bolt gas holes but I don't think it is. Can anyone help me I'd this one from Cabela's ...
Good Afternoon,
I bought a collection of M1 carbine stocks to find a stock for a universal M1 carbine that someone hacked off to make a pistol grip carbine. I'm moving soon and fished this out of the back of the closet. I think it is military due to the two piece stock and that it looks like...
They are a collection of antique stores and sometimes have some good stuff. It's a big collection of each individuals booth. It's mostly overpriced junk but you can find some gems. I got a beautiful mahi mahi stained glass piece from one.
Hey Everyone,
I haven't had any luck at antique malls finding gun stuff but came across this magazine. Can anyone help me ID it ? Looks like a Remington 742 magazine but cant tell. Anyone ever find anything good at antique malls ?
Go for it if its within the letter of the law. I have some 16 inch contender barrel and they are easy to point and awesome. That being said, a rifle barrel will set you back a lot, and the stocks for g1s are pricey. I believe this would allow you to be more cost efficient.
I recently acquired a Mauser c96 and am excited to go shoot it. As anyone bought a aftermarket stock from ebay or through another source? how was the quality? I'll post some pictures later.
I don't believe there would be any unsual history on it. What would the colt letters say about who bought it ? Thanks for the replies, I didn't pay very much for it and I'm excited to go shoot it.
Hello Gang,
I never thought I would have acquired a Colt 1908 in 380 but I did it. The serial number is 627XX and dates to 1923 from my knowledge. Finish is a little rough, but hasn't been chromed or sportized. Do the grips and mag look original to this year model? There is also, a letter w...
I recently sold a Taurus raging bee in 218 bee. At first I was sad to let it go, but with the money I got three pistols to add to the collection. I got a ultralight raging judge(7 shot of 410 3 inch), a colt 1908 in 380, and lastly a mauser broomhandle. I'll have to see if the judge is nice to...
The fr8 is a really neat piece of Spanish history and has the same sight system as a cetme(I believe). If it was 350, go for it. that's a great deal. Go for it!
Thanks for the replies everyone.I have no idea what it can it can be reamed into but could probably be reamed out to take a contender wildcat based on the 444 marlin, like the 309 jdj. A 30-30ai would be pretty sweet, but I already have a 7-30 waters. In my opinion, barrel has too many unknowns...
Hello,
There is a T/C Contender barrel for sale in a wildcat cartridge. The owner is deceased and left the information in the picture. I'm under the assumption that I would have to get custom dies made and maybe even a chamber cast from a gunsmith. Also my biggest worry is that this cartridge...
