I don't remember where I heard this saying (probably this forum), but it goes: "If you find something you like, buy two, because they'll quit making it." It's proven to be good advice for me at times.
That's probably exactly what your problem is. Same thing happens on my Buckmark. Tighten the screws on the top rail (the one that contains the rear sight) and that will fix the problem. You can loctite those screws if you want, but otherwise, carry an allen wrench to the range just in case...
Gun Blue is much bluer than a real blued finish. If you want to use Duracoat to better replicate the look of bluing, try mixing Gun Blue and Gloss Black.
I received my renewal application a few months ago, and was not asked for my records. If you are not renewing, C&R holders are not required to send in their records. It says so on the form in small print in the "NOT RENEWING?" box... unless the form has changed. Are you sure you're reading...
Might as well join the old thread. I'm with MCgunner. The P11 is hard to beat on price and capacity for the size. Smaller 9mm's are not THAT much smaller, especially at this price point. However, I might go for a PF9 if I were buying one today, because I do find its grip to be more...
I sold a gun yesterday, actually. It was in great condition and worked just fine. I made a little money off it, but not much. My reason for selling it was that I just wasn't interested in it any more. I figured I'd sell it at a fair price and give someone else the chance to enjoy it, rather...
Springfield's ILS is a great way to play both sides of gun politics. It lets them put on a lock to satisfy the lawyers and antis. For us, it is 100% removable for just a few $$ worth of parts. The parts are all in the mainspring housing.
Price. A good, used .38 can be found for not much over $100. It would be a perfectly fine defensive handgun for those on a budget or those who aren't really gun people.
True, two months if we lose all imports and don't cut demand.
It is true that we can make oil. The biggest problem is the aformentioned EROEI. Making oil via thermal depolymerization has an EROEI of about 5.6:1, rather than 30:1 that we get from petroleum in the ground. In other words...
mmike87,
You are correct about oil being about the best thing for EROEI (energy return on energy invested). This is because we aren't creating the energy - we're just extracting it from the ground. However, hydrogen's EROEI is not 2:1; it's actually 1:6. In other words, six units of energy...
A C&R license counts as proof of firearms knowledge. The CMP has broadened their requirement from a qualified shooting activity to a number of things that reflect a general knowledge of firearms.
