    AR-15 FTW

I do not have any experience with Model 1 Sales. I do however own a CMMG upper that is very happy on a Bushmaster lower. It runs like a champ. I have not had any issues with it. CMMG also has a very strong reputation for their excellent customer service. Good luck.

    PA Gun Control Bill

I was born and raised in PA so I think I have an informed opinion on this matter. This bill is so over-the-top it has to be DOA. The main reason it will be DOA is that fact that in includes all firearms. PA has a lot of hunter only types who use their bolt action and/or shotgun once a year...

9mm AR folks, can you help me?

+1 on everything CleverNickname said. A quick word about the Promag "Colt style" mags. Make sure you try one or two before investing in a bunch of them. They seem work in some rifles and not in others. You will find out real quick if they don't work in yours. I know this because I found out...

    AR15 extras

With your current set up, nico is spot on. Get a free float tube and try different brands and weight of ammo. Don't judge your rifle after using only one type of ammo. You will have to hunt around for the "flavor" it likes best. Good luck.

New AR. Something a little different

I am the proud owner of a new 9mm AR. As we all know, 5.56/.223 ammo prices have going nowhere but up. Assuming of course, if you can even find it when you have the money to buy it. So I decided I needed something that was cheaper to shoot but still effective against the dreaded invasion...

Williams Firesights VS Tech Sights on my SKS

I tried the Williams sight and the Tech sight. The Tech sight wins hands down, no contest. Much better sight picture, longer sight radius, and the tech sight is much more robust. I have the T200 model so it is fully adjustable. Nothing against Williams. They make fine after market sights, but...

    How reliable is your P32?

I bought my P32 in '01. I have not had any failures with it from day 1. Nothing has been changed on it. No fluff and buff, etc. My wife shoots it almost every time she goes to the range with me. Which is kind of a pain in the butt because it is the most expensive handgun I own to shoot. But...

    My first SKS!!!

To remove the trigger assembly: MAKE SURE THE RIFLE IS NOT LOADED 1.Put the safety ON (this is mechanically necessary to remove trigger assembly). 2. With the rifle upside down on a sturdy surface, use a tool to depress the button at the rear of the trigger guard. You will have to lean on it...

    SKS: Tech Sights v. scope?

The Tech-sights are well worth the money. IMHO, they are the single best "upgrade" you can put on a SKS. Not only do they work as advertised, they are also very durable. No reason not to install them. You can always add scope after the fact if you want to.

    FeatherUSA

I bought a Feather .22lr back in '91 or '92. Came with two 20rd mags. I paid $225 for it. It has belonged to my Godson since 2000. It is still running strong and is still a favorite to shoot when we go out to the desert. At first glance they seem to be much more expensive now. But then I...

    Another price hike in WalMart

I did not think to ask for a time-line for other stores. Actually, it has not been confirmed yet if this will be happening at every store. For every post I see that Wal-mart is no longer selling guns, there is another post stating they know of stores that will continue selling. Just like what...

New SKS question - gas valve.

That does not sound right. The valve should lock into either position. You should have to press the "button" to release it. As a matter of fact, the valve button actually holds the grenade sight down, not the other way around. Sounds like you are missing the spring that goes under the button.

    Another price hike in WalMart

Are we talking ammo prices? Not housewares and stuff, right? Since I was in Wal-Mart this weekend, I picked up two 9mm value packs (just because I was there). $14.56 each + tax. It was not that long ago it seems they were $9.99. Oh, and since this is a Wal-mart thread, The Chandler...

    $500 SKS

Stuff costs money. Simple as that. If it is stuff you want, can afford the stuff, and the stuff does the job you want it to, then it does not really matter what the final price tag is. If that $150 dollar rifle works better and/or looks better as a $500 rifle, then it was money well spent...

The price of AR's before the AWB

I bought my first AR-15 in early '93. It was a Colt in 7.62x39 w/ 16" barrel. I paid $650 out the door. I was quoted the same price for the same rifle in .223/5.56. When I bought it, I had no idea how difficult finding magazines would be. USA 30rd mags were about $20. The true "frankenmags"...

What's with all the Carbine AR's?

Here you go. Just to show you that not everyone has abandoned the 20" rifle. Too bad it does not get to the range that much these days. I am too busy shooting my carbines. :neener:
