    uberti 1886

Perhaps you're thinking of a Browning or Winchester 1886 made by the Miroku factory in Japan. These were a limited run about a decade ago. They're still available on the usual gun auction sites, going for $1,000 and up depending upon condition and style. I have a few myself.

CZ 452 Youth - Great little rifle

Guys - I stand corrected. The model designation is Scout, not youth. I'll ask the felow in the club who bought it for us how much he paid and I'll get it out of the safe this weekend and check on that rear sight elevator. kev

CZ 452 Youth - Great little rifle

We just acquired a new 452 youth for our rifle club's junior program. What a great littleun. Has a sigle shot adapter and a 5-round magazine. The wood and metal are superb, and therigger pull is relatively light and crisp. Now let's see how it holds up. kev

Would you sell multiple guns for 1 dream gun?

Have fun with your property. I've discovered it's quite fun to sell and trade my firearms. The only ones that stay put are those I cannot replace here in CA due to past bans and restrictions. I run the youth program at a local gun club and enjoy letting the boys and girls try out my new...

Big Trouble... DPMS LR-308 Jammed .. Stuck .. HELP

Hope this all works out for you. Same thing happened to a fellow at our range, but it was a spent case, not a live round like your problem. Bound up real tight. He separated the halves and flipped the upper onto its back in a gun cleaning cradle. Applied copius amounts of CLP on and around...

Sounds to me like Arthur Frommer needs to grow a few. It makes my skin crawl to hear men act like such pansies.

    "Never sell a gun"

I've been getting rid of a lot of guns lately. Just taking up room in the safe and I know I would never enjoy them like the new owners will. Sold them to friends. I've just kept a few that I regulalry use. No regrets.

A Tale of Two Budget Rifles - Stevens 200 and Marlin XL7 (pic heavy)

I have an MR-7 Marlin in .30-06. This was Marlin's early and short-lived entry into the center fire market back in the ealry 90s. It is a real good looking rifle with richly blued metal and a nice walnut stock. Just for grins, I glass bedded the action and free-floated the barrel and my...

Does your gun range ban .50 BMG?

I see nothing wrong with prohibiting .50 BMG at a range, so long as it's not for political reasons. Range maintenance used to be a bear after the hammering the target stands and berms took after a .50 shoot at our range. Plus, it caused other shooters to pack up early due to the thunder. If...

Does your gun range ban .50 BMG?

Our range here in Santa Barbara does not allow .50 BMG. We operatre under a special use permit from the USFS and it's their call. We do allow all other .50 caliber offerings, such as muzzloaders, the various Sharps/rolling block calibers, as well as pistol calibers.

College Campuses Breeding ground for 2a hate?

Graduating, getting a job, paying taxes and watching the new crew of students attack your new way of life is the standard wake up call. Here in Santa Barbara, we've had great success at our local range introducing many UCSB and city college students to firearms, both genders.
