When have you NOT regretted selling a gun?

Traded a Charles Daly 1911 (a lot of FTF/FTE problems) for a 1st Gen Taurus PT145 at a gunshow. Haven't had any problems with it thus far (after about eight years).

"Bulletproof Glass" (Is it ?) Find out here

The bullet resistant glass used in armored passenger vehicles is similar to that used in drive-up windows at banks. Usually two or more inches thick and a lamination of glass and polycarbonate(glass on the outside is easier to clean and a low-e coating can keep the poly from degrading as quickly...

    Stevens 200 safety?

I just picked up a new S200 a couple months ago. Your question intrigued me, so I checked. My S200 does have the three position safety. Full back locks the bolt, half back keeps the trigger locked, and off is as normal. Pics could be available if needed.

    fal?

Bwana John, The picture in the thread is of a Imbel made reciever, and I don't know of any Imbel-made Inch recievers. The only old inch recievers would be Enfield, Lithgow, and Ishapore. New ones would be Entreprise or DSA. All other manufacturers made metric recievers. this link has...

Why not shoot steel cased ammo in an AR?

Do not recall how long ago, but someone posted their findings on shooting steel vs brass cased .223 ammo in their AR (they were having problems with steel cases extracing after a few hundred rounds. Apparently what they discovered was the steel case necks were not expanding to the chamber...

    Pirate surprise!

Uhrmacher, According to the first article I read about the Somali pirates in America's First Freedom magazine, the British Foreign Office has expressly told their warships not to stop suspected pirate vessels. Who knows, they might even let the bad guys board them and provide a nice tea...

    Pirate surprise!

Perhaps the ships master heard that the Maersk Alabama repelled boarders the second time someone tried to board them. Back in November, I believe. Pirates tried to board the Alabama several months after the first incident where three of the pirates ended up dead. This time the Alabama replied...

Whats the best lie you had a gun seller tell you

At a gun show a few years ago, noticed a FrankenFAL on the table. Between the barrel, upper reciever, and lower reciever it had three different finishes. The dealer saw me looking at it, picked it up and handed it to me. I looked at the stampings and noted that the lower was made at the...

    Australian L1A1 version .... "The B^tch!"

The rifle is definitely an L1A1, with L2A1 mags, and a XM148 Colt grenade launcher. The L2A1 had a much heavier barrel, the bipod folded up to become the handguard, and had a compensator, thus: http://www.probertencyclopaedia.com/F_L2A1.HTM With a bit of history.
