Have been researching the American Classic 1911. Very few in stock from online retailers and don't want to miss out if it's a good pistol. I see good reviews on several sites. Anyone have any info?
Help always appreciated.
Just cleaned my SIG 232 for the first time (new pistol) and after the slide was removed there is a piece on the left side of the frame above the decocker which will loosen when touched. There appears to be a spring attached and it appears to be a part of the decocking mechanism. I am familiar...
Ordered a Beretta 84FS Cheetah, .380 (two tone) and after racking the slide only 3 or 4 times, the finish is coming off of the barrel. Anybody hear anything about other Beretta 'finish' problems?
Can gunsmithing center a hammer to where it is equidistant, from each side of the frame, in the 'slot', when it is in battery?
Minor detail but am very picky.
Thanks,
Am looking for the Beretta 84FS, Cheetah .380, 13 round magazine. Have not held one yet and there's none in stock in my area. I have average size hands and am wondering whether the 'pinky' is going to hang off the bottom of the handle.
Anybody have any idea?
Much Thanks.

Thanks Jim for the quick reply.
I may be 'over eyeballing' regarding the play on the slide. Let's call it a 'slight' play and I won't use 'guesswork' regarding millimeters. I have a CZ 75D Compact and there is '0' play, so I guess I was measuring against that.
Thanks again...
Just bought a Colt Commander, only had one box of ammunition and had a great shoot. Just one question, is it standard to have a bout a millimeter of 'play' in the slide, from side to side?
Thanks from 'sweatin'.
I bought a S&W Model 27 from a sporting goods store where I worked in 1981. The gun looks like I bought it today. Not kidding. The 'gleam' is there, there is not a scratch anywhere (meaning absolutely 0) and there are none of the cylinder rotation scratches you usually see on preowned guns. 50...
I don't know if I even have to but my only loaded magazines are the ones in my 4 pistols (loaded at two thirds capacity) and I rotate the magazines on the 15th and the 30th of each month.
Again, it may not even matter but it's what I do.
I have a S&W Model 27, .357, 6" barrel that I bought new in 1981. I do not have a picture but it looks like it was bought today. This is not 'fluff'. I am not kidding. I don't have 50 rounds through it. Any ideas on its value?
Thanks,
Franklin
Colt Commander .45, 7+1, at a Gun Show in Tallahassee, Fl. The vendor was Jay's Guns and Accessories out of Crestview, Fl.
I am finding they are out of stock in many places. I got lucky. Just shot it today and it's a dream gun.
