I have a DGV and really like it. It is a Stiller Predator action that has a semi-floating bolt head and Savage barrel threads. I put it in a McMillan stock and added a Jewell trigger. Shoots great as a light gun with a Shilen barrel. I can change the barrel myself when it wears out, or I...
Not a lawyer, but...
If you put a magazine that can hold more than 30 rounds in a firearm, you just created a destructive device (machine gun) in Ohio. I have seen them for sale, so I don't think there is a ban on owning one, but never put it in/near a firearm.
There is an exception for...
Best of both worlds from the old Maryland Shooter's site.
Slight modification to rear sight works very well.

You don't get the accu-trigger with Stevens. Big minus in my book.
Savage has been changing magazine design (center-feed vs. staggered, box, etc). Check and see what the Stevens is set up for.
Check out Northlander on the Savage shooters Forum. He also has good prices on barrels.

Yes, you can get pre-fit barrels for all of those calibers. They should all use the same bolt face except for the 223. You will need a go-gage for each caliber and a Savage barrel nut wrench. It takes about twenty minutes to switch a barrel when you know what you are doing. The Savage...

Search 6mmbr.com for Citranox. About $45 a gallon and you dilute it 100:1. It works well for brass. There are several other articles about ultra-sonic cleaning with compared results. One had a home made recipe on it somewhere...
What do the magazines look like...
Midway USA has a picture of them.

Did you remove the allen wrench in when you turned the wheel?
Play with it till you can get it back to where is was. Then leave the wrench in place when you make the adjustment.
Been there...done that.
Irony
One of the subtle points of the video that is missed is that he says the gun is AWB compliant. The stock could be fixed. I didn't see a flash hider or a bayonet lug. The 30 round mag might be the only thing that would not fit in the '94 ban.
That rifle is not a "assault weapon"...
